He spends the night showing me how much he means what he says. The Performing Arts isn't the only department with a mid semester Showcase. On Friday evening, we go to the Fine Arts Student Gallery for the opening of the Spring showing. Raven and Thorne each have two pieces. Thorne has the metal dandelion he was working on, as well as a stone sculpture of a lost-looking little boy called “Self Portrait”. Raven is displaying the portrait he painted of me–he promised I could have it back as soon as the showing is over–as well as another piece. People are crowded around my portrait, whispering. I give Raven an arch look.
