Ivan's Betrayal

Ivan's Betrayal

He hadn’t had sex in over a week-ever since the incident with Sarim. And he didn’t know how to bridge the gap with Victoria . He could solve one of his problems and offer what more than one willing female had been willing to give him, but the mate in him rejected the thought of being intimate with another female. He wanted Victoria, and she hated him plain and simple, so his chances of getting satisfaction were slim to none. “Khafil, what do you think of Malik’s plan?” Khafil rose his head to see all of the council members watching him keenly. Khafil glanced at his father, who frowned at him. Damn, he’d been preoccupied with Victoria again. He was going to have to do something tonight.

Panther's Pet

"You can't just show up here and expect me to believe everything you say is true." Ms. Cleo smiled at him and shook her head. "I don't expect anything from you," she said. "But I hope that you'll find what I have said useful." She turned away from him and started walking down the street again, leaving Malcolm standing by himself in front of the door with a black book in his hand and no idea what to do next. He stood there for a long time, staring at the door with his mouth open. Finally, he closed the door, clutching the book in his hand. " Thanks for being so cryptic Ms. Cleo," Malcolm growled. I stood there frozen, still in shock that the witches that tried to kill me weren't dead. What we

CHAOS

CHAOS

Many tried to run but were suddenly crushed by a mental wall that began to cage everyone in. All sounds faded and an ache ran through Trix’s head. She felt herself being pulled in a direction which she did not know. Her vision blurred and the pain grew. She fell to her knees. It was as if her head was about to explode she felt as if she was going to die. ‘Stop fighting it,’ a voice echoed through the chaos. ‘It is who you are Trixiana.’ ‘Open your eyes, Trix.’ ‘Open your eyes!’ Trix eyes snapped opened and she met the concerned hazel eyes of Tristan.

CHAOS COLLEGE

“But careful. Not everything here is as fun as it looks.” Before Lila could answer, Harper tugged her away. “Don’t engage,” she warned. “She’s testing you.” And then the music stopped abruptly. Lights flickered. Gasps spread through the crowd. A voice over the speakers cut in, distorted, cold: “Welcome to Chaos College. Secrets will be revealed tonight. Some of you won’t leave unscathed.” The crowd froze. Students exchanged nervous glances, whispers turning into murmurs of fear and confusion. Cade’s grip on Lila’s hand tightened ever so slightly. “I told you… danger doesn’t stay hidden here.”

The Human

The Human

Whatever evil this lady has planned, I want nothing to do with it. "I'm sorry...you're right. I think... It's just the bond talking. I need to meet her. She sounds nice. Much nicer than Lucian and his pack," I say while lowering my head to show submission. Like a true kid, Malcolm's emotions shift quickly. He goes from animalistic rage to animated happiness within seconds, and I take a deep calming breath. I can do this. I survived Lucian's mood swings. I can survive a brainwashed Malcolm.

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

The other soldiers froze, their rifles snapping toward the archway. "Contact! Sector 4!" Nyosi, standing near the lead Chinook, turned her head. Her eyes narrowed as she saw the figure emerging from the dust. Malik walked out of the shadows. He didn't limp. He didn't stagger. He floated an inch off the ground, his tattered robes snapping in an invisible wind. The violet sparks around him were no longer soft; they were jagged, like miniature lightning bolts, crackling with an entropic hunger. "Kazi was wrong," Malik said, his voice amplified by the cavern’s natural acoustics until it sounded like the mountain itself was speaking. "He said we were a disease. He said we were a plague."

Destined by One Night: The CEO's Pursuit

Of course, Malcolm only valued the friendship with Julian, Terence, and Sergio. Every month, Malcolm would have the nightmare of that night once. That nightmare was like a devil's claw and held him tightly. It would not let him go until he was dragged into the bottomless abyss. And then, Marilyn appeared. Julian suddenly thought of a saying, "There is always one thing to conquer another. Scorpions are afraid of roosters, and seedlings are afraid of mole crickets! It seems that Malcolm obtains a lifebuoy when he is in the water."

Her Graceful War Song

Her Graceful War Song

Ian quickly entered the study, and after a brief exchange with the king, returned to stand before Malcolm. "Lord Quinton, what are you doing here?" Ian asked, surprised. Shivering, Malcolm forced out through clenched teeth, "Waiting to be summoned by His Majesty." Ian's eyes widened. "His Majesty just ordered me to find you. He was wondering where you'd gone—he's been waiting for you! Please go in at once. His Majesty is growing impatient." Malcolm barely managed a stiff nod of thanks before forcing his frozen limbs into motion and entering the study.

I love reading but choosy, and this book caught my attention as the author's thought was put into writing. It portrayed the life of normal and those in power clearly. It contains political, military, monarchial, business, education, martial arts, humanitarian, judicial aspects that I can relate to.

I like how this novel is now evolving into an interesting Sherlock Holmes case after the much-needed testimonies of Caden, Barett, Viola and Violet in particular... And I don't understand people's lack of patience, I really don't... for my part I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us
