“Mr. Jones, I hope you don’t mind, but I just spotted an old friend. Would you mind if I went over and said hello?” “Not at all, we are done here,” Mr. Jones replied, excusing himself as he walked away. Meanwhile, Charlotte, having just made her point to Ronan, turned to rejoin her girls. But as she did, she froze. Her gaze met a pair of stormy grey eyes. Eyes that seemed to burn with a quiet intensity.

"Because she looks like The Trunchbull from that movie you used to make me watch when we were kids." My father and I both chuckled."You mean Matilda." Jake shrugged his shoulders."Whatever movie she is from, my neighbour is her twin. So how is Mom? Can we see her?"He asked, looking at my father. "Yes, Let's go see her."We followed my Dad down the corridor towards my Mom's private room, she was sitting up in her bed watching the door and waiting for us. "Oh, there you are. I was worried that you two had already left."My mom said and reached her arms out towards us for a hug.

It was a sad situation. I remained tied to the stake, praying to the powers that be to save me. I must have been created for a purpose; this chain of misfortune must lead somewhere. I cried. "Scarlett," I heard a familiar voice. I was too cold to lift my head. Warm hands touched my face helping me to look up. It was Martha. I looked down immediately.

"May I know what is your name and where are you from?" Charlotte swallowed her nervousness before speaking with a calm voice. "My name is Charlotte, my parents have been gone for so long and I spend my entire life wandering around Alabama... these fast few days have been so rough for me and many warriors attempt to take advantage of my innocence!" "Is that so? Then you knocked on the right door. I'm Ammon, please come in and I'll make you some hot tea!" Charlotte smiled. "Thank you so much, Ammon!" She went inside Ammon's house and saw that there were many fruits and bread on his wooden table.

Thinking about my sister saddens me a great deal, despite the fact that I like to think that I’ve put her memory behind me. I can still remember when we had been little kids. Charlotte had been normal then, although there were certain things that had indicated the type of person she would turn out to be, now that I think about it. While I had been a nurturing and caring kid, the type that would want to care for and help frail, fragile, and wounded things, Charlotte had been my exact opposite. As a child, she would catch butterflies and other insects and take off all their legs and wings as slowly as possible. That behavior always irked and nauseated me a great deal, and when Charlotte notice

Minutes later, Ichabod could hear a swift movement behind the shelves and out came a short man in a black tail coat and a large hat which made him look like all those wizards you see in movies like Harry Potter. “Ah! If it isn’t my old friend.” Johhny said cheerfully. “It has been a while since I last saw you. Are you having nightmares again?” “No.” Adams replied, “I would like you to meet someone.” He said, “this is Ichabod Nuel.” Johnny laid his eyes on Ichabod and scanned him from head to toe. A serious smile cracked upon his lips. “Ah. I can see you haven’t come alone young man.”

It was only then did Charlotte spot Maisy opposite her. However, she didn't plan on answering Maisy at all. Instead, she looked at Zach with a stony face and asked, "When did you ask this witch to come over to your house?" Zach replied in a calm voice, "She's not a witch. She's my grandmother." Raising her voice, Charlotte yelled. "I told you that they're a family of vultures! Once they cling to our family, we'll never be able to get rid of them! You—"

"Ma'am Charlotte, let's walk around the neighborhood." "No... Abigail, I don't want to." "Little baby will need it. Come on!" Charlotte, upon hearing about her baby, reluctantly stood up to go. The village was lively that day. After a few hours of wandering around and interacting with the people of the pack, it was clear that Charlotte had leadership qualities. She was kind and sweet. She was very hesitant around men she didn’t know, but when it came to women and especially children, she was radiant. “Abigail,” Charlotte said softly as she approached her. “Here.” She held out a scarf she had been making. Abigail couldn’t help but be confused.

Charlotte asked the empty lobby, looking around for someone. “I believe I can answer that,” An older matronly woman with bright red curly hair and freckles dotting her cheeks appeared from behind a corner. She gave us a friendly grin as she came up, her uniform of a simple white shirt and black pants already dotted with various unusual coloured spots. I was afraid to ask what they were. “My name’s Mabel, I’m one of the teachers for the pups,” She shook Charlotte’s hand enthusiastically but then only bowed her head in respect to me once. “Alpha Finnley told me you would be coming. Charlotte and Prince Alexander, right?”

Alice nodded in sympathy. Even though Charlotte had just told us about her horrible childhood, she still had a positive attitude. While we continued to pull weeds, Charlotte told us what she knew about the Golden Hive. She had made friends with some of the girls who had been here for a long time. I tried to memorize all the information that she was throwing at me, but she talked very fast. Most of it was things that I already knew before I joined. Alice and I mostly listened to her. I liked both of them and I was glad that they were my roommates. They were opposites, with Charlotte being outgoing and bubbly, and Alice more reserved and insightful.
