Married to the Devil of Chicago

Married to the Devil of Chicago

"The man you just married is the leader of a crime organization that is not a part of the code of the mafia. They kill and destroy as they wish. He's worse than Sergio. Far worse." My blood ran cold. "Wh-what?" "Didn't he tell you who he is?" "Luca Vallario, that's what he told me." She nodded, voice shaky with terror, "Yes, but to the rest of the world, he's known as Lucifero." Oh God. What had I done? "The man you married isn't just a monster; he's the Devil himself."

She Belongs to the Gammas

She Belongs to the Gammas

MARILYN Lucian stormed in with great fury, his blue eyes blazing angrily because I had called him with tears. "What happened?” I couldn’t stop crying, before giving him the letter. “Lucifer…. Lucifer is… Lucifer is alive.” He hugged me and I cried in his arms for a while, then he read the letter for a while. He stopped and kissed me. “Don’t cry again. I’m here now” We both sank onto the sofa, and he studied the letter again. “But this is not Lucifer’s handwriting?”

Lucifer's Property

Lucifer's Property

I am part of the market research team, and that requires me to be on the streets instead of in-office, but with my team being useless, I do most of the work because if the team doesn't deliver results, I am stuck with the elephant that will likely cost me, my job. Lucifer's tech is the best engineering company there is. Their smartphones are ten times better than Android and iPhones. Longer battery life and a network that won't drop you in your time of need but the worst part about them are that they freaking expensive. Like wireless earphones and smartwatches, they most likely to cost half my paycheck.

Lucia brushed him off but stepped back anyway to let Mercy greet the two she came with. “Xavier!” greeted Mercy sharing a hug with her previous pack’s gamma. “Partner, you left and now I don’t have a partner for the morning run.” he complained. “Oh, am sorry partner but it is what it is.” she said shrugging. “It’s okay I will get my mate to run with me.” Lucia gave him a look. “In your dreams!” exclaimed Lucia looking horrified thinking about having to run.

I am on chapter 21, so far it’s a good story and I plan on reading the entire book. But I have to mention the amount of grammar and spelling (mostly the spelling) errors detract from the storyline. Sometimes you have to reread something so it makes sense. Overall good though.

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Heiress's Return

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Heiress's Return

Even Light who had been working with me, Asher Dreamer, and Wolf, none of them knew about it. How would they know? ‘Could it be relying on women’s sixth sense? I smiled. Originally, I planned to play a game to relax, but it was a mess. I decided not to play the game. However, when I returned to the game, I saw that chad records of World Channel. Kelly: “Oh my God, Lucifer is not only a woman, but also an extremely ugly woman. I am going to vomit.” Ryan said: “Oh my Go. Me too. Even if Lucifer plays a game with me every day, I won’t marry her.

One good thing about this story is that the FL not only has a doting boyfriend but also a doting mother-in-law. Loved reading this very positive love story of a badass FL. one complaint would be this book needs a lot of corrections. It is a bit messy.

Felon- A Dark Mafia Romance

Felon- A Dark Mafia Romance

"Ouch! Did you see the boss? Oh my fucking goodness! He's just so fucking—" "Don't! Don't you dare finish that sentence. I know, right? But look what he and his men did to me, us. I now realize why he's the devil to the underworld. Lucifer is so sexy and good-looking too but from inside he's just ugliest and so fucking horrible. He can change his face to manipulate people. That's what Ivan Volkov is. He's no less than Lucifer." I look at Lucy who gasps and applauds in admiration, making me scowl at her. This bitch's never serious.

The Almighty Dragon General

The Almighty Dragon General

Lucifer was wearing a black robe at the back of the hall. In the past, he was a powerhouse of the Twelfth Universe. When James had not grown into a peerless powerhouse yet, they were rivals on par with each other. As time passed, James surpassed him. Although not a human, Lucier was born in the Human Universe. He had attended simply to watch the succession ceremony and was not expecting to be appointed as one of the Heavenly Lords. After a brief shock, he recomposed himself and replied, “Thank you, Lord Jacopo!”

Author, What exactly is the purpose of marrying Brielle is she the one guarding the tree? Nope!!! The tree was only guarded by the old man whom sophie took care so James can steal the tree!! So why does he still need to marry? It's so stupid!! With or without the wedding ceremony he could steal it!!

An Alpha Kings Sin

An Alpha Kings Sin

She asked. Lucifer shot her a glare, a deep dark evil glare that told her to shut up, but she just rolled her eyes. “You're being ridiculous, you know that, don’t you Lu.” “NO, I’M NOT!” Lucifer yelled. “SHE’S A FUCKING SUCCUBUS NOT A WEREWOLF SO SHE SHOULD ACT LIKE ONE!!” “Lu if she just wants to sleep with her husband, then that’s her problem.” “I don’t want my daughter to slowly die of starvation because she didn’t get enough energy from that damn wolf.”

DEADLY DEVOTION

Scar said and vixen rolled her eyes. "Whatever!" "Am I the only one staying back!" Lila groaned as she pouted. "You're to watch over the clan baby girl!" Scar said and she sighed. ★ TORTURE ROOM* Lucifer walked into the torture room with a hardened expression. He faced the mobster then the bodies in front of him. He just actually heard that the three dropped dead already. His blood boiled as he faced the mobsters who were already shaking in fear. One of them was already peeing as they shivered vigorously.

Promised to the Tyrant

Promised to the Tyrant

Lucifer’s POV It was hard to believe that she had these visions, and they were so damn accurate. But the proof was sitting right in front of me; her visions had led us to this traitor. Rudo Luciano, the alpha and head of the New York family. The same fucker who had sent Stray as a tribute to us. "Why can’t I move?" Luciano screamed as he struggled against his limp body. "What have you done to me?" I rolled my eyes. This time it was not my doing. It was that witch boy who had rendered Luciano’s body immobile using his powers.

Frequently Asked Questions

The connection between DC's 'Lucifer' and the biblical Lucifer is a fascinating blend of mythology, creative reinterpretation, and outright divergence. At first glance, they share the same name and some foundational traits—both are rebellious, charismatic figures associated with pride and defiance. But DC's version, especially as fleshed out in Neil Gaiman's 'The Sandman' and later in Mike Carey's solo series, takes those elements and runs in wildly imaginative directions. This Lucifer isn't just a fallen angel; he's a complex antihero who abandons Hell to run a nightclub in Los Angeles, negotiates with gods and demons alike, and even grapples with existential freedom in ways that feel more philosophical than religious. The biblical Lucifer is often framed as a straightforward antagonist, but DC's iteration is layered, even sympathetic at times, which makes him far more than a mere adaptation.

That said, the biblical roots are undeniably there, just twisted into something new. The comic leans into the Miltonian idea of Lucifer as a tragic figure—'better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven'—but then subverts it entirely. This Lucifer doesn't want to reign anywhere; he's disgusted by the petty power struggles of Heaven and Hell and seeks absolute independence. The series also borrows from apocryphal texts and occult lore, like the idea of Lucifer as the 'light-bringer,' but uses it to explore themes of self-determination rather than divine punishment. It's less about religious fidelity and more about asking, 'What if the Devil got bored of being the Devil?' The result is a character who feels both ancient and freshly inventive, a testament to how flexible mythology can be in the right hands.

What really seals the distinction, though, is the tone. The biblical Lucifer is a symbol of evil or temptation, but DC's version is almost... cool? He's impeccably dressed, dryly witty, and operates with a detached curiosity that makes him weirdly relatable. The comics and TV adaptation (which further deviates from the source material) play up his charm and moral ambiguity, making him a protagonist you root for despite his inherent darkness. It's a far cry from the fire-and-brimstone portrayal in religious texts. If anything, DC's 'Lucifer' feels like a thought experiment: What happens when you strip away the dogma and treat the Devil as a person? The answer is a story that's less about good vs. evil and more about the messy, glorious freedom of choice. And honestly, that's way more interesting to me than any traditional depiction.
