"So I have your kid." Tate sat down pulling his chair up closer to her desk. "It's ok. We have a lot of new people this year." Cheyenne nodded, "yeah that happens. How old are you now 7? 8? Tate looked up at her, "I'll be 8 in September." "Well I have no clue when your dad will be back but we have coke in the fridge and I'm pretty sure we have some chips and probably some candy back there from my last store run."

Kathleen felt moved, but she was also slightly embarrassed to see Charlie filling the small plate in front of her with a mountain of food. She rarely had the chance to share a meal with a man, so this was her first time being taken care of by someone of the opposite sex. She nodded shyly and said, “Mr. Wade, you don’t have to keep filling my plate. You still haven’t eaten a bite…” Charlie grinned, “There’s no hurry. If I use my cutleries now, I won’t be able to help fill your plates anymore!”

Matt responded. "I thought you can't go out?" Chey asked. "I can put on my hat and go through the drive thru." He responded. "Okay there's a few fast-food places with drive through down the road." Chey said. "That sounds good. I’ll see what looks good." Matt replied. "Ok, I’m good with whatever you decide." Chey responded. "Drink?" He asked. "Sweet tea." She replied. "I'll go get dressed." He replied. Matt got dressed and got their food. They ate and Chey explained her job. She's surprised he's really interested.

Suddenly, Chantelle's eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at Delcan. A smile spread across her face, and she reached up to touch his cheek. "Hi," she said softly. Delcan felt his heart skip a beat. He had never seen her look at him like that before. "I didn't mean to wake you," he said, his voice low and gentle. Chantelle sat up and took his hand in hers. "You didn't," she said. "I was just resting my eyes." She looked down at the outfit she was wearing and blushed. "What do you think?"

I made it home and the guys helped me unload the groceries and put them away so I could cook us all a nice home-cooked meal, something I think none of us has had in a very long time. “Get your paws off those Cheeto puffs! I’m cooking here!” I growl at Charley as he reaches for the snack chips. He stiffened and immediately turned around with his eyes big, “Caught red-handed!” “Yeah! Step away from the chips, Charley!” I continue asserting my tone. He laughs and relaxes, walking over to where I am cooking, acting as if the Cheeto Puffs never existed, “Whatcha cookin?”

Charles said with curiosity. “Yeah; I know you like yellowfin tuna. It has chili peppers too,” Peyton said, and glimpsed at Charles’ face. “I have regained my appetite,” Charles said with a smile and stood up from the couch. “I know you like a poke bowl,” Peyton said. “Yeah…; please, come and serve me my food,” Charles said. “This film is interesting and I can’t afford to miss any action. Margaret, go and give your uncle the poke bowl inside the oven,” Peyton said. She glimpsed on the television screen and Margaret simultaneously.
