Charles stood in the Dubois mansion, glancing at his best friend’s body. “I will be there, Dad, don’t worry, everything will be all right. Rupert was a kind soul,” he wanted to laugh his ass off at his acting. Athena was stunned. How wonderfully he was acting. He hung up on his dad and resumed kissing Athena. He could taste the maple syrup he had just fed her. “Sweet.” He pulled back and licked her tongue. “What?” he amusedly asked her. “You said Rupert was a nice man,” Azazel laughed, making his chest rumble.

I whispered to Charles her answer and he gestured for the phone. "Cathy," he said, his voice a more friendly version of his usual commanding presence. "Do you think you and your new beau can join me for lunch in my office?" He nodded and smiled. "Is Thai food okay? Great. See you at noon." He hung up and shrugged. Charlie offered and she groaned when she realized how hungry she was. They brought the three large boxes to her bed and sat down around her, opening it. Three large pizzas seemed like a lot of food… But she didn’t say anything. She was surprised when she saw Charlie take up a slice and bite into it. “You can eat food? I thought vampires only needed blood…” She asked with confusion. “I can eat food; it does not nurture my body much, but I find myself enjoying the flavors again…strangely…” Charlie answered after he had swallowed his bite; he seemed thoughtful about his answer.

Nikki sighs, “Hey mama Charles, I know but everything is good now. I’m on my way home.” “Okay, that’s good. What got you so stressed baby?” “Just work stuff baby but Chantel will be handling my business now.” “Okay good, thank God for Chantel. We are glad that you are good, honey, you scared us,” “I know and I’m sorry. How was y’alls day? Is everything going well?” “It was good, Xander almost had a breakdown, but everything is good, we were about to cook,” Charles says. “That’s good, well I’m in the mood for some Chow Mein and Xlanti is going to get it for me,”

At first, I thought that the boys had ordered way too much food. The three of us grabbed a burger and fries. The boys managed to eat three burgers each and fries. I guess being built like a Greek God took a lot of fuel to keep it going. After we had eaten we started our game. I watched Chad take his turn first. I could not take my eyes off him. I Watched his muscles ripple as he aimed and let his ball go. It was mesmerizing. After we had all had our turns and Chad went for his second turn Megan and Victoria moved me away from the boys.

The boys replied in unison before returning to their Big Macs. "What I don't understand, why is Nari so adamant being Romeo's mate? Don't get me wrong but what's so special about Romeo?" Annabelle prodded, her face scrunched in confusion. Ouch. Chucky hung his head in embarrassment. Unlike the others who were eating fast food, Chucky was served with a medium rare steak and he wolfed it down quickly.
