Elies rolled her eyes, turning away from him and unlocking her car. “Hey, Elies!” She froze at the sound of Chris’s voice, her heart skipping yet another beat. She turned to see him walking toward her, his smile bright and genuine as always. “Chris,” she said, her voice soft. “Hey,” he said as he stopped in front of her. “I was just about to leave and thought maybe you’d like to ride with me.” Elies’s eyes widened, her gaze darting between Chris and Damien. Damien, who had been watching silently, let out a low chuckle. “Looks like you’ve got options,” he said, his tone amused.

Elias asked. "Popcorn. The queue was long," Chloe replied, her voice a bit loud over the noise everywhere, "So, where are we at?" "Engineering took the lead when they scored two goals after we gave them one," Elias replied, dipping her hand and taking a handful of popcorn as her gaze flew back to Kaelen again. The sweat on his face glistened in the light, and he always looked so good with his long hair tied back. As an art student, Elias was supposed to be cheering for the Titans. But when her crush was on the opposing team, she was secretly happy they were winning. Also, it was very nice to see a frustrated look on her twin brother's face...he kind of deserved it.

Elias sighed helplessly and nodded back. Elias slipped his hand out of Angie's grasp, then jumped off the jeep first. He landed effortlessly, checked the vicinity once more, then signaled for Angie to jump down as well. Angie jumped as soon as she could, then she moved ahead of Elias, chasing after the lead couple. Elias stuck close to her back and diligently scanned their surroundings for any threats, with his weapon ready.

Folks!! I missed an updating day! I'm so sorry to do this to you guys, but there will be NO updates the next few days for 'Chase.' I sat down yesterday and looked at the chapters to post, and I just... wasn't happy. In an effort to give you guys the best story possible, I'd like to give it a couple days and rework the ending that is in the pipeline.
