Aren’t you excited about meeting your favourite author?” Mishka asked, raising her eyebrow, and Christian pouted childishly. “Yeah, I want to, but it’s our first wedding anniversary. Why did they plan the book launch tomorrow? Let me request Warren Thomson to postpone it.” Christian complained and unlocked his mobile phone to give him a call.

Eventually, Michael brings over the bag of Theo's stuff and produces a few books for Amelia to read to him, which Amelia is elated to do. I'm reluctant to decorate this tree, it's probably going to look awful and far too bright and cheery for my liking. But it makes it a little easier to do so with Amelias voice softly reading kids books about Christmas aloud to Theo and now Briella, who had abandoned helping us to sit with her favourite person in the world.

Can’t we read something with a hopeful romance?”
