He turned to leave, but her voice stopped him.
“Wait,” she said with a playful smile. “Won’t you kiss your darling wife good morning?”
She rose and snuggled against him, her hand sliding around his arm. For a heartbeat, he hesitated, I could feel it, maybe because I was there. But then he leaned down and kissed her, quick, restrained.
Ariana smiled like she had just won something, and he left.
The moment the door closed, she let out a satisfied sigh. “My husband is the sweetest,” she said, loud enough for me to hear. “And the sex… gods, it’s amazing.”
