Her eyes were fixed on Chuck, though, and when I turned to look at him, he had stopped mid-shift. Once the shifting process starts, it’s tough to stop in the middle of it. I could tell from the look on Chuck’s face that he was in pain, and he wasn’t pleased. His eyes were glowing yellow, and his teeth were elongated; fur started to sprout from his skin, and some of his bones were half-cracked. I looked back at Judy, whose hand trembled slightly, but she didn’t drop them. I could practically hear the rapid beating of her heart. Though she put on a brave face and looked like she knew what she was doing, I knew she was terrified of screwing up.

She had music blaring from the speakers, singing off-tune to a rock song by Green Day, her blonde hair flying wildly. They needed to replenish their rations and she also wanted the vet to take a look at Chucky’s injuries. The laceration on Chucky’s side had magically disappeared this morning and the dog is surprisingly active, making her wonder if she had imagined his injuries when she brought him home yesterday.

“Chuck’s alive. Barely.” Alexander paced near the reinforced door, Maya leaning against him for support. The new parents looked shell-shocked, their joy over Julian’s birth already poisoned by fresh violence. Minutes later, the side entrance burst open. Two security officers carried Chuck inside on a makeshift stretcher. His clothes were charred and melted in places. Severe burns covered his left arm and part of his torso. His face was blistered, one eye swollen shut. The smell of burnt flesh hit me like a physical blow.

“Hi, my name is Charles Myers, but I sometimes go by Chucky. I’m the King’s representative, please just know, I’m only here to make sure nothing gets overlooked.” “Ah, yes, Mr. Charles Meyers. I’m sorry, I did not see you there.” Charles says, “No worries, I’d like to thank you, for hosting us Alpha Havrith, and I look forward to reporting back to the king with my findings, and please call me Chucky.” with a smirk on his face. A smirk I really don’t like, he notices me looking at him, and his smirk turns to a smile, and I swear his smile was ten times scarier.

I thought to myself as I snuggled up next to him on the couch. I laugh at the big fat black fluffy bird and Michael looks at me and raises and eyebrow. "So this is what you like to watch?" "Yeah, this shit's hilarious! Watch this little red dude." I said then stuffed my mouth with popcorn again. "Isn't this a cartoon?" I stare at him for a moment, slowly chewing my popcorn and he raises an eyebrow at me. "No, it's not a cartoon, it's angry birds! And I happen to love them!" I said, glaring at him.

The spiky part had some eyeball appended to it. Hurl falls on his back as he sees that grim view. It was the very green eyes that Matt had. He considerations to himself that he should encounter an awful outing. He mumbles to himself, “Ah poop, that was some undeniable level great sh*t. I can’t squander it on an awful outing! Think cheerful contemplations, Chuck!” Abruptly, he turns upward and sees a thin dark figure hanging by the roof with that frightening grin, saying to him, “Come play with us, Chuck.”

In fact, Mike had lifted the man off of the ground by his arm. With a flick of the wrist, Michael sent him flying. Then he turned to Chuck, who'd been watching the whole fight with an incredulous look on his face. It wasn't until Mike finally looked back at him that it occurred to him that he should run. Taking off like a shot, Chuck barely made it ten meters away before Mike leaped clear over and landed in front of him with the grace of a jungle cat.
