The one who vanished after the fallout.” Valentina nodded. “He didn’t vanish. He went deeper. Project Cinder wasn’t about data or surveillance. It was about engineering influence. Through politics. She grabbed a lever and pulled and a column of jars came out from the roof and landed right next to her. She browsed through the jars, finding the specific type of powder she wanted and then she sprinkled some of it into the batter, giving it a good stir.
