After the torture of trying to not think of Nathan or Brenda and their stupid kiss, I just wanted to sleep as soon I got home. I sigh and drag myself out of bed. Clara is gone by the time I'm out. I hurry to the main building. Cathylene’s voice is high indicating one thing—something serious is going on. My heart skips. “What's going on?”I ask one of the maids. “Lady Cath's sister is here.” Lady Cath’s sister? Oh…hot shị́t. Linda. The only sister of Cathylene and a complete opposite of her. A lunatic. I walk inside.

I had returned to the day when she had schemed against me. In my previous life, my sister, in her pursuit of becoming the sole heiress of the family, resorted to scheming on the day of the school anniversary. She tampered with my fever medicine, causing me to lose consciousness. She took away my prepared speech and went on stage to deliver it, receiving all the glory. Meanwhile, she led me to a secluded alley where I was sexually assaulted by a group of people. They even recorded the incident and posted it online with the caption, "The so-called heiress of the Xander family is nothing special."

I shouted, "Jessica, I'm still your sister!" Jessica growled, "What kind of bullcrap sister? I've always been prettier and luckier than you. Why do you get all the good things in the end, while I turned into a mess? "Don't worry. As long as you cooperate, I'll make your death quick." She wanted to kill me again and restart everything, but Brett was too scared. After all, this was a prison sentence waiting to happen.

She kept looking around the room unable to keep her eyes fixed on me. "So spill it."I didn't have the patience for us to be lurking around the bush. "I was jealous that he didn't even look at me you were his girlfriend sister that is that it had always been everyone finding you super attractive for your body for your face I barely get an hey you look good today," she dropped her face with a sigh and groaned, "so I guess I just wanted to prove to myself that I could get anybody I wanted to." She looked up at me with a sad pout, "when you told me you were at his house that night, I told your sister and that's how she caught you two that day."

“Sorry. I just needed a few minutes.” “No problem,” he said, standing. “Did you get some rest?” “A little.” She crossed over to where they were sitting, running her hand through her hair, her eyes fixed on the sofa behind him. “Ru, this is my sister, Cinder.” Cinder popped up, offering her hand. “Nice to meet you, Ru.” She shook the offered hand, but the timidity in her eyes was still there. “You, too,” she said. “I hope I didn’t take your room or anything.”

"Once upon a time there lived a beautiful girl called Cinderella. Cinderella lived with her two step sisters and her wicked stepmother. They were very unkind to Cinderella and made her do a lot of hard work...." Camilla straddled Vanessa in her arms as she kept reading from one of Vanessa's numerous storybooks. Her worried orbs were too noticeable, Camilla could easily tell that she was disturbed and absent minded. The Vanessa she knew should have been deep in her slumber by this time of the night but tonight was a different case.

My heart twisted painfully at the thought, and I hated how easy it was for Helena and our mum, Margo, to manipulate me into this. They wanted me to be a good sister. To be selfless. But no one ever saw the toll it would take on me. No one could see what I was really giving up, what I had already given up. Hunter was my boss. I had worked for him for four years. I had seen him fall for my sister, even as I stood there, watching it happen, pretending it didn’t crush me a little every time. I had watched them grow closer, watched their love bloom, while I quietly stood by, always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

When they arrived at the university, Gia thanked and said goodbye to Dorian, unfortunately for her, Alina was near the entrance with her group of friends, her jaw almost hit the floor when she saw her get out of the luxurious car. “Alina, is that your stepsister?” One of her friends asked. “Half-sister, which is not the same, I can't believe she's so shameless, that car must belong to one of her lovers.” Gia headed towards the entrance and passed close to the group, Alina intentionally raised her voice. “Girls, as I was saying, before the Grecos took pity on her, the poor girl cleaned floors, it's the true story of Cinderella, don't you think?” She said with contempt.

I cooed at him, pointing at a picture of him in a Cinderella outfit. "Oh, that," he grimaced. "My sister wanted to dress up as Belle in the Beauty and The Beast but she was too shy to do it. So I dressed up as MY favourite Disney princess to encourage her." "Your favorite disney princess is Cinderella." I deadpanned. "Are you a Cinderella hater?" He asked, taking offense, "there will be no hate on Cindy. She went through so much for so long, I will tolerate no Cinderella, is that clear?"
