Beneath the Immortal Sky: A Heart Left Burning

Beneath the Immortal Sky: A Heart Left Burning

'I think something happened. 'Yes,' Lihua said. 'I noticed.' She crossed the room and crouched in front of the girl. 'Tell me what you feel.' 'Like the ceiling is gone,' Ruoxuan said. 'Like I have been living in a room my whole life and someone just took the roof off and there is just — sky up there. More sky than I knew existed.' She looked at her hands. 'I advanced. Did I advance?' 'You broke through to Foundation Establishment,' Lihua said. 'Fully. Cleanly.'

The Forbidden Truth

She avoided his gaze. The sun has fully set and the moon awakens. The stars started showing themselves and they twinkled in the now dark sky. Seolurrie never really saw real stars before. All she knew about them was what she read on books. They said that they are like diamonds twinkling in the sky. Looking at it, Seolurrie confirmed that it's true. They were like thousands, no, millions of diamonds swimming in dark ocean.

I really liked this book. Too bad it ends after 36 chapters and hasn't been added to in a couple of weeks. If y'all want people to pay to read your books, at least write something. This is the second book, this has happened with. I think I'm done with good novel.

Great story!! refreshing to read something different then other books on good novel. loved the complexity of the worlds and characters. would have been nice to have it a bit longer, and more lucas scenes, but still greatly enjoyed it. looking forward to the next book!

Euphoria in the Melancholic Sky

Time flies fast and it’s time for us to go home. Teagan and Yukira went home first for they have to study for the contest. Scarlet is on her cheerleading practice. Only the three of us are left. “Let’s drink some coffee. There’s a new store at the other street. They said it’s the best coffee in town,” Unira suggested. I was planning to go home and rest but Yunho asked me to go so I don’t really have a choice. They walked in front of me, holding hands and I just felt my heart shatter into pieces.

Kiss Me Before The Sky Falls

Kiss Me Before The Sky Falls

A shudder ran down my spine. "The truth is, I trust you," Caden admitted. “But I don't trust him.” We stood there for a long while. Although the event was over, the music from inside was still loud. Dusk made way for the night, the moon was full and bright. I wanted to change the topic. To ease the tension between us. "I used to watch the moon from the garage at home," I told Caden. "I'd sit in the driveway and just look at it."

The Alpha Who Survived My Curse

The Alpha Who Survived My Curse

The cosmic roar echoing inside Gina’s mind wasn’t just a sound; it was a physical force that shattered her mental barriers like cheap glass. For a terrifying, suspended second, she wasn't standing in the blood-soaked courtyard of the Nightfang pack house. She was floating in a vast, suffocating void, staring at the northern horizon of the spirit plane where the sky was literally cracking open. Two massive, skeletal hands made of starlight and cosmic dust were gripping the edges of the reality rift, pulling a monstrous, ancient entity into existence.

A Vow of Stone and Starlight

A Vow of Stone and Starlight

It was a mix of my starlight and Alaric's dark power. The crack didn't grow. The glass held. I was halfway across. I could see Alaric’s eyes. They weren't cold anymore. They were wide, watching me with something that looked like hope. But then, Morgana moved. She pulled a small silver whistle from her belt and blew a silent note. Suddenly, the soul link in my head snapped. The connection to Alaric was gone. The golden light under my feet vanished. Crrr-ack! The glass floor beneath me shattered into a thousand pieces. I screamed as I felt the air rush past my ears. I was falling. The obsidian spears were rushing up to meet me.

Vercel looked shocked, visibly shaken. I didn’t believe his act. When he stepped forward, I retreated. Eyes burning with disappointment, I said, “Do you think you can have me just because you drugged me? Even if you force me, nothing will change—except that I’ll hate you even more. I’ll only regret saving you when we were children. I’ll only wish I had never met you.” “No, Sky—”

He's trusting me, choosing me, my arms close around him before I can stop them, tight and possessive. The realization makes something deep in my chest painfully. Because this feels right. Another hit slams against the doors and the dresser scrapes the floor backwards a few inches. Above us the distant whine of engines grows louder. Then the door shifts again, two threats closing in, the desperate alphas outside and the deadliest Alpha in the country descending from the sky. , Skai instructed as she put the covered glass bowl containing lasagna she prepared in the microwave. “It was a great night”, Skai said as they sat at the table to eat. “But he didn’t get my contact and left without saying goodbye. That’s a red flag”. “Yeah.. but then you can’t write him off just yet. Like I said, he knows where to find you. I’m just surprised you went through with it. These past months you’ve been avoiding men and focusing on your naughty paintings like it was your only source of relief”. “Yeah, I know. There was just something about him though. And the way he described my art… yeah, it’s on the vulgar side but he saw the soul behind it”.

The sound of his footsteps recedes, but the warmth of his presence lingers, wrapping around me like a comforting embrace. I sink further into the warmth of my cozy blankets. I create a sanctuary of comfort, a nest that cradles me, like most omegas create. With a contented sigh, I surrender to the tranquility and close my eyes, ready to embark on a journey of dreams.
