As soon as the monsters entered her range she began swinging her blade swiftly but with great strength. She evaded the monsters attack while bring them down one by one. She kept cutting them, but the more she cuts them the more they grew in great numbers.

‘I remember hearing a doctor saying the hunters are on their way. It’s already been ten minutes yet they’re still not here. If I hadn’t chose to hold the monsters every person in this floor would have died already. Maybe not just in this floor but the floor above and below would have also been greatly affected.’

She knew that the decision she made was the wise choice. She was getting surrounded by the knight monsters and she knows that it will be dangerous if she get more surrounded. As she swung the sword into the knight that is trying to cut her arm holding the sword, she didn’t notice that her left side was open and the monsters saw that opening. One of the knight monsters swung its sword on her waist and it was cut open.

She winced and jumped back. She ran at to the west wing while holding her sliced waist. The blood won’t stop flowing. She knew that if she forces her self to fight the monsters more she will die. She is already in a very disadvantageous situation earlier but now disadvantageous wasn’t the right word to describe the situation.

She was panting heavily. Her movements slowed down when she was injured.

‘Are the hunters still not here yet? I think I already bought enough time for everyone to escape. I should take refuge too.’

As she was thinking of escaping she heard a lot of noise outside. She looked outside through the window and two vans. There are people coming out from the van, some of them are carrying weapons and wearing armors while some of them are holding some kind of stick and some are just regular clothing.

‘I guess they are the so called hunters, huh. They’re too late though.’

She was busy looking out that she didn’t noticed the monsters are already in her nose. She quickly duck when the knight monster tried to slash her neck. She didn’t have time to wince because of the pain in her waist she kicked the knight’s knee and slashed its head. The knights head fell with a thud. She repeated her actions. She slashed and slashed heir enemies. She swung her swords with all of her remaining strength.

When only one remains she already doesn’t have the strength to fight it. She was panting so heavily that her lungs hurt, her waist feels numb and her knees are giving up on her.

The knight monster rushed to her and her knees gave up. She plopped into the ground but still raised her sword. The knight monster aimed for her chest but she dodged and stabbed her sword into the neck of the monster. With all her might she threw the knight monster into the window behind her. The heard the crashing sound of the armor and the screams of the people outside.

“What the hell?!! Who did this?!!!”

“Are there hunters inside already?!!”

“What? That can’t be!!”

“Let’s hurry and go inside the hunters might need our help!!”

‘They haven’t gone inside yet? They’re really slow, huh?’

Seolurrie knows she can’t let her guard down because another wave of those monsters are coming. But she was too tired to even care about that and she was dizzy with all the blood she lost.

She was barely keeping her consciousness when she heard footsteps getting louder. She doesn’t know if it’s the hunter’s or the monster’s she doesn’t care anymore.

After a minute or so the hunters arrived. They gasp from what they saw. Dozens of monsters were slaughtered but not a single drop of blood was coming from their bodies. They also didn’t see any other fellow hunters but some dead bodies lying around.

“Who the heck did this?”

“Who can even do this kind of thing? They are knight monsters their armors are so hard but their limbs and heads were cut off?”

“Who ever did this he or she must be a high grade hunter.”

“What an incredible strength that hunter has.”

They all jumped when someone behind them spoke with an unsteady voice. It was Seolurrie

“The next wave is coming they may be a lot more than the last wave. Be careful.”

“There’s a survivor. She is injured. Healer please heal.”

A woman walked to Seolurrie’s side and chanted something. After she chanted some words a green light enveloped Seolurrie’s  body and she felt the pain in her wounds disappearing.

Although her wounds were healed she was still fatigued. She tried to get up with her sword supporting her. As soon as she got up she leaned at the wall.

“You shouldn’t move yet although I healed your wounds you still lost a lot of blood. And not to mention you look exhausted.”

“I’m fine. Thank you for healing me.”

“By the way, where are the people who did this? Did you see them?”

“I did those.”

The hunters are stunned for a moment or two before they started raising hell with their loud voices.

“You did what!!”

“You seriously think we’ll believe it?!!”

“Hahaha! Did you hit your head or something?”

She didn’t reacted to what they are saying and walked past them. The hunters stopped laughing at what she did.

“Hey, you are being rude---”

“The third wave is here please be prepared. Like you said these monsters are hard.”

They were cut off by her. They were planning to give her a scolding when loud thumping sounds were heard in the east wing.

“Here they come. Please prepare for battle.”

The moment she finished talking the monsters appeared in the east stair and run fast to their direction. Before the hunters can react she already ran ready to fight the monsters again. She might be tired but she wasn’t that tired to back down.

She swung her sword to every enemy also swinging their swords at her.  She slashed every enemies’ head that closed her range. She felt like she was fighting alone that’s why she looked behind in the hunters direction. She saw their reaction and couldn’t stop feeling flustered. Their jaws are wide open, their eyes looked like they’re going to pop out of their sockets. They are stunned at what they where seeing.

She turned around only to see a knight monster in front of her. She quickly jumped back and slashed its head off.

“H-hey, are you s-seeing this?”

“This is a joke, r-right?”

“How can she fight those monsters all alone? Is she a high grade hunter?”

“No, wait. If she is then we would have recognized her already.”

“B-but how can it be? How can she cut those monsters like they’re nothing not to mention those monsters are hard as---”

“Aren’t you going to help me?!! If your not then you guys better find more people to evacuate!!”

The hunters snapped at their reverie when they heard the mysterious hunter fighting the monsters alone. They were embarrassed because of their incompetence. They quickly moved in position. There are twenty or more hunters. Some of them stepped in front some remained in the middle while some moved or stayed in the rear.

She was now panting hard once again. Her frustration was rising. She looked behind her only to see the hunters walked passed her and started fighting the knight monsters. She just stood in there while watching the hunters fight.

‘They look like they’re having a hard time defeating those.’

The hunters using swords and daggers as a weapon were having a hard time cutting down the monsters. When she was about to rush over a hand rested on her shoulder.

“You need to rest. You’re out of breath. You can leave this to us and evacuate like everyone else.”

“I just rest for a bit and help you later when I regained some energy.”

“Well, if that’s what you want then go on.”

She walked over the rear where the other hunters are at the rear. Some smiled at her and some looked at her with admiration. The healer who healed her earlier walked to her and chanted the same spell. A green light enveloped her whole body once again. At that time she only recognized the cut on her arm.

“Thank you.”

“It’s nothing. It’s my job to heal after all. But I have a question how can you fight like that, you know, without feeling scared at all knowing that no one got your back?”

“I… I also don’t know I have never fought monsters in my whole life. This is my first actually. I don’t even know how I can fight those monsters alone without dying first. I have never had a high stamina nor a great strength and an acceptable agility. I just know that if I don’t sacrifice myself earlier all of the people escaping earlier would be dead by now.”

“That’s… maybe you are your abilities stimulated at that time?”

“Abilities? I don’t feel like I have any power inside me though?”

“That can’t be. How can someone fight with monsters when they are not hunters?! There is not one single case that that thing happened!”

The healer was exasperated at what she heard. The healer’s voice raised that made the other hunters on the rear looked at Seolurrie’s and the healer’s direction.

“What’s going on?”

“Hey, what’s happening.”

The healer flushed because of the unwanted attention. The healer looked at the other hunters and shook her head while saying ‘it’s nothing’.  But even though the healer said that nothing happened the hunters still walked to them.

“Hey, Sasha. How can you take our high grade hunter alone.”

“Introduce us too!”

“Don’t solo her, Sasha.”

‘How can these people talk so openly when their comrades are fighting to death in front?’

The hunters continued to chatter and Seolurrie watched the fight in front. She thought that the hunters on the rear just trust their comrades that’s why they are able to converse happily.

‘But still can’t they see the body of the people who passed away because they are so late to arrive?’

Her thoughts came to a stop when the healer called her.

“Excuse me, miss.”

She looked at the healer and was flustered when she saw that all the other hunters are also looking at her.

“I told them about what we were talking about earlier and decided to bring you with us when this raid is done. To know if you are a Stimulated.”

“Stimulated? What’s that?”

The hunters looked at each other. Their face say ‘she doesn’t know what a Stimulated mean?’ She realized that she can’t reveal the fact that she is not from their world. She knows that not all people will accept her situation as lightly as Jina took it.

“A Stimulated is obtaining an ability. Us hunters are also called Stimulated because we obtained a high prowess.”

She just nodded her head. She didn’t ask any more questions that will arise suspicions. They looked at her like they are waiting for something. She tilted her head right and left trying to figure out what they were waiting for.

‘Are they waiting for me to ask more questions?’

“Ahhh. By the way what is your name, miss”

‘Ah they wanted to ask for my name. If that’s it then I will gladly tell them.’

“I’m sorry for the late introduction. My name is Seolurrie. I am adopted that’s why I don’t know my surname.”

She didn't want to admit to herself that she treats her as her role model and started abusing the power she holds and the authority she gained. She now felt the thick air and felt suffocated.
