His Dead Wife: No Longer the Surrogate Bride

His Dead Wife: No Longer the Surrogate Bride

“That’s not recovery.” “No, it isn’t.” Michael said quietly. “It’s containment.” The system tightened around itself and then it snapped. Their access vanished completely. Enzo froze. “We just got locked out.” He announced in shock. The room filled with thick and heavy silence. It feels unforgiving. Ulysees stepped back slightly. “That wasn’t a defense.” He said in surprise. “That was a countermeasure for whatever attack that will happen.” Sebastian’s gaze shifted slowly to Dominic.

Biker's Forbidden Desire

Biker's Forbidden Desire

I hated the fact that a dark, buried part of my mind was nodding along to his logic. "What do you suggest I do?" I heard myself ask, the question slipping out before I could stop it. "When they strike, counter-attack immediately. Take something they cannot afford to lose. Their primary port access. Their accounts. Their lives. Make the cost of challenging Donna Moretti too expensive to bear. If you do not, every wolf in this city will take a piece of you until there is nothing left." He was stripping away my options, painting a reality where peace was a death sentence. I leaned back, a heavy sickness settling in my stomach. "That is a miserable way to live."

Deflected

Deflected

But the last minute change got into Logan's head, and he couldn't keep the ball out of the net. That's how the ricochet effect began. I couldn't seem to block for shit. Daniel kept kicking too wide. The stress of the change, and probably more so the curiosity about what was wrong with Santos, just killed our stride. Even Luca Montoya, who is usually one of our more reserved players, pulled a yellow card and had to rein in his defense so he didn't get tossed out. It was brutal. So while the Earthquake fans are celebrating loudly in the stands, the Texas Mutiny is walking off the field, with our tails tucked firmly between our legs. Not just in shame, but possibly in anticipation of our asses

Mr Alpha, I Want You No More

Mr Alpha, I Want You No More

Without breaking a sweat, I sent him flying with a kick to the torso before Leaping into the air to finish him. Seconds after the attack began, more supporters of Alpha Mathews began to pour out and began their own counterattack. They outnumbered my followers, but thanks to our advanced preparation, we still had the upper hand. The tides soon began to turn as more enemies kept pouring out from the woodworks.

A Contract The Empire Couldn't Break

A Contract The Empire Couldn't Break

Elena added. Aurex responded with silence. No statements. No denials. Silence that signaled recalculation rather than confidence. By evening, the pattern was unmistakable. Aurex was not collapsing. It was shrinking. “This is the first counterstrike,” Nathaniel said. Lillian shook her head. “No.” He looked at her. “This isn’t a strike,” she continued. “It’s the system correcting itself.” Nathaniel considered that. “That’s worse for them.”

Return to Power

Return to Power

Justin's name was about to become his sore point, only second to Jason in his heart. "No, there is news from the battlefield of Heaven's Gate that the Heaven's Gate has come out in full force. We have been defeated and retreated thousands of miles. The Lord Ice Soul invites you back to discuss countermeasures. The Heaven's Gate is preparing for the second attack." The man said cautiously, looking at Achilles. "Bastard." Achilles frowned and snorted. He didn't expect that the western side would retreat thousands of miles in the battlefield after he left. Of course, he was glad that he had predicted it.

Seducing the Silent Alphas

Seducing the Silent Alphas

Anna squared her shoulders and put her fists up like a boxer. "Not bad," I said. "But your feet are too close together. Widen your stance. Give yourself a solid base." She adjusted her feet. "Better. Now, when someone comes at you, what's your instinct?" "To run?" I grinned. "Honest. But let's work on a different instinct. When someone attacks, you have three options. Block. Dodge. Or counter-attack. Let's start with blocking." I threw a slow punch toward her face. Anna's hands came up automatically, crossing in front of her face.

Brother’s Best Friends Are My Mates

Brother’s Best Friends Are My Mates

Matt muttered, but the corner of his mouth twitched. I gasped, hand over my chest. “Wow. A direct attack. Someone’s still salty from losing to me in arm wrestling last week.” “That wasn’t a real match.” Matt scowled. “You cheated.” “I used strategy,” I corrected, wagging a finger at him. “Big difference.” Colby shook his head. “I’m still confused about how distracting him with a bag of chips counts as a strategy.” “Distraction is a valid tactic,” I said, flashing a grin. “You think the ancient warriors of this temple wouldn’t use snacks against us if they had the chance?”

Retribution

Retribution

But he stayed quiet, thinking, weighing every single move like it was a chess game. "Calm down, Valencia", Anatoly stepped forward, his voice calm but firm, cutting through the silence. "You need to understand. It's the only way to get to him. We can't attack outright without drawing attention to ourselves. For us to fight, we need to get into the battlefield, and in this case, the archbishop is the gatekeeper of that battlefield."

Ace

Ace

ACE "WHAT DID YOU DO?" I yelled into my phone. We had turned the tables. Instead of those fuckers following us, we were following them. It might have given the game away that we were onto them but it gave them a taste of their own God damned medicine. Though, we had to be careful—or, at least, Gunnar had to be careful. Even with him being well ahead of the gun trade compared to his competitors, he was still losing business because of this inconvenience. And, knowing my brother, it wasn't sitting well with him. So, what he had done shouldn't have surprised me, and yet, it did.

When I read books by this author they always play like a movie in my head. The details, the setting, the characters and the story line all flow so well. Such a talented writer. I am absolutely looking forward to reading "Jericho". Keep up the great work.
