Duncan's POV Duncan and Sadie finished up a run through the valley. The events for the mating hunt had finished up a couple of days ago, but they stayed on to spend time with her family. However, tomorrow they were flying back to Washington. Duncan had enjoyed his time concentrating on Sadie but was starting to feel the itch to get back home and start their new life together as Alpha & Luna. His mother was beyond excited to meet Sadie in person, although they had spoken on the telephone a couple of times.

Duncan whispered beside me. “Have you been stalking me?”. He was one of the very few people, who seemed to stick around me. His pack was quite bigger than Indigo’s, but we helped each other in times of need. “Has your little mate been keeping you preoccupied, or something else, huh?”. He nudged me, his eyes probing curiously. I wasn’t surprised he knew of Raven. Words travel faster than I could ever imagine. “How are the girls?”. I asked him, He had been married to his wife for almost a decade with two lovely daughters, one was still a baby.

Just the thought of not seeing her again is making me furious beyond belief. Duncan ignored her question and turned to leave. Hailey, overhearing the exchange, quickly walked in the opposite direction to avoid being seen. Her heart ached from Duncan’s words, but she steeled herself, determined not to let it show. She resolved to focus on her new plan and make a positive impact in the community, despite the challenges she faced in her marriage.

Cassandra rolled her eyes at him "Just tell your friend to leave my best friend alone!" "That's not possible because Hidalgo is her husband!" Duncan stated firmly to her, and then, he signed heavily. Duncan doesn't want to argue with Cassandra, he was only trying to make her see reasons with him but the young lady wasn't interested in listening to him.

Vox, ever stoic, stands near the edge of the gathering, keeping a watchful eye but smiling softly whenever his gaze lands on the twins. Courtney, who has become Sienna’s closest friend, is practically glowing herself. After missing the wedding due to the business trip to Dubai, she had made her feelings about the lack of an invitation known. Courtney can’t stop fawning over the babies, leaning in every few minutes to coo at them.
