How petty! “ Oh? Well let’s see…” Courtney's gaze was cold for a moment before she spoke again with a sinister smirk. She rose from her seat and started to pull off her jacket slowly, revealing the sexy gown with a high-thigh slit that left her magnificent figure in one's imagination. “ I mean we'll have to see if that's all I've got right?" It wasn't the same clothing she had on during the trial earlier in the day. Bob realized she must have trailed him then left to make a change into a more seductive dress, just to return now.

Smiling, I turned and headed to the foyer. Courtney was my best childhood friend. She had decided pack life was not for her and moved to the city. She had become a well-known socialite in New York City and mingled with richest people in the world. Courtney was not like us small town folk and you could feel it when she walked in to the room with her designer clothes. She did not disappoint. In the foyer, she looked as classy ever with black pants, a white top and a black blazer. Her legs were adorned with black heels.

"You are such a beauty." Eretia raised her brows at the gesture. "Thank you." She mouthed. Knox cleared his throat. He was not comfortable with Jason's attitude towards Eretia. So he interrupted Jason before he could say anything else. "Eretia meet Tiana and Tatiana..they are the new models I just signed into my agency." He said. "Hi Eretia." The ladies greeted in unison. "Hello, it is nice to mee you too." Eretia replied with a half smile on her face.

I wanted to climb the ranks on my own merit, and I would—eventually. "Hi, Courtney. How are you?" I smiled, rubbing the handwash between my fingers. "I'm great. I'm thrilled about my new assignment. I have been granted an exclusive interview with none other than the renowned and revered billionaire tycoon, Sammy Matthews. In this rare and exciting encounter, I will have the privilege of touring his luxurious and vast estate, followed by a helicopter ride that promises to be an experience of a lifetime. The sheer anticipation of this event is so overwhelming that I can barely keep calm!”

He must have deleted everything. "But why?" I whispered to the empty room. I couldn't understand his actions. Did three years of love and trust mean nothing to him?
