I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

The sort couples do when they’re dating. Yeah, no big deal. Just my mouth. On his. In front of an ailing patriarch and a family full of snoops. Casual. ‘You’re not joking?’ I asked, even though I already knew the answer. ‘I’m not.’ I opened my mouth. Closed it. Tried again. I probably looked like a dying goldfish on land. ‘My cousin tried something similar,’ he said. ‘Hired a girl to play the girlfriend act. It was Christmas Eve, the whole family was there. They fooled no one. His mum cut off his allowance for three years. Till he brought home a real girlfriend.’

As up to now the book would be 3 Stars. It is declining severely. Dragging with baby stories that don’t add up to the story just for adding characters and taking our money. Definitely stopping. Huge dissapointnent. Good until chapter 380

This author is one of the best writers I have ever read! I love her discripted writings. She has captured the scenes' and characters' feelings with flair and accuracy. I hope to read other books by this author.

An Unwilling Union

An Unwilling Union

Gavin sighed and ran his hand through his hair, " Try rough life, it's my mom again and she's trying to set me up with another one of her snotty friends' daughters. The last one I went on a date with was dumber than a spoon. I'm not fucking doing that anymore." " Ah, now that I'm married, Zia Cara and Mom are going to be expending all their energy on getting you a wife. I love it." Gavin or Gavino was my cousin but we grew up more like brothers, I was six months older than him but most people assumed we were twins. We had the same jet-black hair, blue eyes, and height, although I liked to think I was slightly taller.

Her Resolve

Her Resolve

Lauren Keisha doesn’t interrupt me. She just shifts slightly on the couch, tucking one leg under herself, fully facing me. “Okay,” she says softly. “Tell me everything.” So I do. I inhale slowly, bracing myself. “It wasn’t just some random woman,” I begin. “It was my cousin.” Her forehead wrinkles. “Your what?” “My cousin. Julia.” Her jaw drops. “Oh, hell no.” I almost smile through the heaviness.

His To Ruin

His To Ruin

“It was the sugar, not me.” “It was you,” came the chorus from three different directions. Laughter broke like waves, shaking the table. I smiled, but it was thin. My fork idled over the roasted potatoes on my plate. They went on like that, one story spilling into the next. A cousin talked about getting caught sneaking out to fish at the lake. uncle Mark told about a time a goat had gotten into the house and refused to leave. A small girl with bright eyes interrupted halfway through to remind everyone that she had never done anything that silly, and the table roared again.

“ Missed you? You have got to be joking?” “ I heard you had a bouncing baby boy and a girl on the way so I had to come see for myself.” “ Who told you that?” “ Does it matter?” “ of course it matters who told you” “ your mother told my mother who told me. There now you know gossip travels fast” he chuckled “ well, leave because you’re not welcome here” “ How dare you? Is this how your mate wants you to treat your family?” “ you aren’t family” “ Oh but I am. Cousin.”

The Anatomy of Wind: Beware!

The Anatomy of Wind: Beware!

I met my cousins, my uncles and my aunts; they told me that I had no Grandparents because they had died many years ago. My Robinson aunt also came, that one who was friends with Taylor, the one who brought her home when I saw her first on Christmas. I discovered that my family was unique in their way: I have a cousin who’s allergic to anything but kind and very smart. Her name was Roxanne. A talkative aunt who’s very good at narrating stories. She told me the stories of my family background, ancestors to ancestors, but let me tell you, it felt too real like she saw it the day before!

The Supernatural Spa

The Supernatural Spa

I would like to share a story as well as ask for some advice from the experts in this group. This has been scaring me as well as my mother. It started around two years ago and had been continuing for some time. I’m talking about my younger brother, but before I start with him, I’ll begin with my cousin. It all started with her. There are eight of us cousins on Mama’s side, and let me introduce you to our eldest cousin named Francine. She is so demure, quiet, and very studious. But she’s not the type of quiet as in stoic. She also knows how to socialize, but in an educated kind of way.

The Sweetest Revenge

The Sweetest Revenge

"This is more entertaining than romance novels. Those who called Madam a vixen are all soggy-ass cucumbers!" "Now that the exams are finally over, I'm going to watch all the videos I missed. I've only been gone for a while. How could so many things have happened?" "Is there anyone out there who knows about them? Come out and tell us their story. Was it love at first sight, or was it something that happened over a long period?" "My cousin's wife's friend's uncle's daughter is a nanny in a rich person's house. She said…" "What did she say? Oh, just spill it already! I'll curse you with seven years of bad luck if you don't!"

My Cousin Transferred Only Ten Dollars To Me

My Cousin Transferred Only Ten Dollars To Me

“For three years, I helped John pay six hundred and eighteen thousand dollars! I do not owe him a single cent. He owes me six hundred and eighteen thousand dollars of my hard-earned money instead!” John’s lies were finally unraveled. The workers read the information I had sent. Everyone was shocked. “So Mr. Anderson’s the bloodsucker!” “He’s scamming his own cousin! He has no morals!” Walter kicked the table before him. “John, you’re a scammer! I’m not going to let you off the hook!” John collapsed onto the floor and looked defeated. Rory finally came to her senses as she screamed and ran towards me. “Peter! You dare ruin our company?! I’m going to kill you!”

My Dearest Beautiful Cousin

My Dearest Beautiful Cousin

"You are so beautiful. Did anyone ever tell you that?" Silence. "No." "That's a lie." She pointed at nothing. "That is an outright lie and I won't accept it. You have a mirror, Enoch, you have eyes." She stopped herself. Redirected. The wine was making her brave in directions that had no business being explored. "Anyway. My dearest cousin. I have good news." She heard something shift in his silence. A quality of attention that hadn't been there before. "Good news." "Yes. Big news." She nodded at the wall. "Important news"

Frequently Asked Questions

There's this weirdly specific charm about cousins-to-lovers stories that hooks people, and I think it’s the blend of familiarity and taboo. They’ve known each other forever, so the emotional groundwork is already laid—inside jokes, shared family trauma, all that. But then there’s this tension because society frowns on it, which adds drama without needing some contrived conflict. Like in 'Emma' by Jane Austen, where Mr. Knightley’s basically family but also the perfect match. The stakes feel higher because if it fails, it could wreck the whole family dynamic. And let’s be real, forbidden love always sells—it’s why 'Bridgerton' made Daphne and Simon’s fake dating so addictive, even though they weren’t cousins. The cousin trope just cranks that up a notch.

Plus, there’s the nostalgia factor. Childhood friends-to-lovers is already a powerhouse trope, but cousins? That’s childhood friends with extra layers. They’ve seen each other at their worst—family reunions, awkward phases, all of it. When the romance clicks, it feels like destiny because their lives are already so intertwined. It’s not just about two people falling in love; it’s about two histories merging. I’ve noticed manga like 'Kimi ni Todoke' play with this too, though sparingly, because the cultural lens matters. In some places, cousin marriage is totally normal, which adds another fascinating angle to why these stories resonate differently across audiences.
