Abnormally Normal

But the best part in both the books and the TV show is the unresolved tension between the three protagonists. 56-58. The Smoke Trilogy BY TANYA HUFF Same author, but not as successful. A series of three books, Smoke and Shadows, Smoke and Mirrors, Smoke and Ashes. The series takes place in Vancouver with Henry Fitzroy and his sometime-lover. More occult crime. Didn't do much for me. 59. Interview With The Vampire BY ANNE RICE Clearly one of the first reluctant vamps. I personally do not like the gothic trappings of the Anne Rice world, but this is clearly a book that influenced the genre. There are many other Rice novels, The Vampire Lestat, etc.

Just need to be edited, overall I love it, it has it's originality, it's start like some crazy sitcom and ends up having this climax, my favourite character has to be Goblin, I like how you portrayed his character, he's someone who was hurt because of the werewolves and vampires issues, overall nice

HER PERFECT RUIN, HIS PERFECT REDEMPTION

HER PERFECT RUIN, HIS PERFECT REDEMPTION

It was scorching like a flame and if auras could be tasted, hers would definitely be bitter. I shuddered, walking over to the first aisle to check it out. The first book that caught my attention was Blood, Pawns and Obsession. It was a dark romance by Rylie Martin. I had one of my projects on hold because I wanted to read this book and get into the head of the psychotic male lead, so I would understand him better and be able to execute my plotline to my taste. The grin on my face unconsciously widened, and I brought the book to my nose, sniffing it in.

LOVE AND CRIME

LOVE AND CRIME

The crime architect hadn’t just built the crime, he had demolished the evidence. Clinton suggested that they go solo on the case- no lawyers, no official channels, and no paper trail that could alert the wrong people. According to him, the truth they were looking for wouldn’t be found in court records or legal archives. It would be buried in plain sight, scattered across old newspaper pages and forgotten television reports from that period. If there were inconsistencies, that was where they would surface.

Step Too Far: Ruined By Him

Step Too Far: Ruined By Him

“What about you, Mr. Brady, do you read?” "I haven't read in a while. I like thrillers. Lee Child, James Patterson, Stephen King." He tells us as he reaches and takes a piece of steak. "Have you read Harlan Coben? He writes some amazing thrillers like Drop Shot, One False Move, and Tell No One." I'm in my element now. This is safe ground, I love talking about books. I love almost every genre out there. I'll give anything a go once. Indie authors are my favorite as their work is so unique, it's like a diamond in the rough.

I'm glad I was able to read it! Spent my evening reading this. And yes, I liked it! Though it was somehow on a quick pace. Two of your books already unlocked in my library, and I'm hoping to read it soon. Thanks for the book! Keep writing! 👏🏾 Hayllie 🐖🐱

I loved this book so much. Though the chapters were short. The book didn't take up to quarter of a day to be done with it. It was funny, interesting. I feel sad that it ended. This is your Fifth book I'm completing and didn't get tired of reading. I hope to read more of your books. Talented author!❤

Sinful Nights

Sinful Nights

No one has found the bodies yet, though, so theres still a lingering hope out there that they're alive. I sigh as I crawl under the thick quilt, flicking on the lamo beside me as I pull out my latest find at Barnes and Nobels: The Winter Garden by the famous Kristin Hannah. This woman's books are truly amazing. Then, after an hour long reading session, I find my eyes beginning to shut against my will, so I set down the book on the bedside table and shut off the lamp. ~ The next morning...

Frequently Asked Questions

If I had to recommend just a handful of crime novels that every mystery aficionado should absolutely delve into, I’d start with 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' by Stieg Larsson. It’s compelling from the get-go, interweaving the turmoil of its characters into a chilling mystery. The way Larsson builds tension and unravels secrets in the fictional Swedish town of Hedestad is genuinely mesmerizing. The protagonist, Lisbeth Salander, is unlike anyone you've ever met in literature. Her complexity and fierce independence make her captivating, and the layers of the plot keep you guessing right up to the last page.

Another gem is 'Gone Girl' by Gillian Flynn. This one really flips the script on the whole relationship dynamic within a mystery. Here, the narrative dances between perspectives, creating an unreliable viewpoint that is tense and thrilling. Flynn's sharp writing and the psychological depth of the characters kept me on edge, and the twists! Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, she pulls the rug right from under you. It's a brilliant commentary on marriage and media perception that every reader seems to buzz about.

For something more classic, if you haven’t picked up 'The Big Sleep' by Raymond Chandler, you’re missing out on a defining piece of detective fiction. The character of Philip Marlowe isn't just a private eye; he's more of an antihero navigating a gritty world filled with complex characters and dangerous entanglements. The witty, sharp dialogue is a real treat too. Chandler's work embodies the essence of hard-boiled detective novels, and it has shaped much of what we see in crime literature today.

Lastly, 'In the Woods' by Tana French is a must. It’s so richly layered that it feels almost poetic. The atmosphere and psychological depth are stunning, with a plot revolving around a detective haunted by his past. The way she examines trauma and memory within a mystery framework is just brilliant. I'd suggest keeping a cozy blanket handy; you’ll want to get lost in these stories!
