A mask should be worn. Blood Moon grabbed a black fox mask that covers her eyes and nose, and only her red lips are visible. She walked outside the room and met her idiotic partner in crime. "Hello, Shadow," she greeted with a bit of hesitance. "Looking great, Keisha," he greeted with a playful flirt and she closed her eyes in frustration. "Do not-- Do not call me by my name," she irritatedly commanded. "I didn't know you were coming with me," she murmured with gritted teeth. Guessing from the way he dressed, she concluded that he'll be accompanying her.

Lex perused the masquerade, feeling somewhat elated by the fact that he was indistinguishable. He adjusted his white and gold mask that covered his entire forehead but extended only to half of his face. The overall colour was white with an acrylic effect. The gold highlighted the eyelids and accentuated the mask.

Violet stared at his amber eyes, catching the flecks of gold that gave away the storm magic bubbling beneath the surface. "I thought you'd never ask," Vesper replied, removing his mask for the first time and placed his hand on Violet's shoulder. Her dress rippled. The green shifted into red, dark crimson as if she'd been dipped in blood. The wolves at her sleeves opened their mouths and howled. Vesper's did the same, turning to shimmering silver and garnet as the palace's light hit his garments. The entire room gasped. She ripped her mask off to see she wore the colors of her enemy.

He had his sinister mask covering his face, and a wave of dread washed over me. But more than dread, a frustrated emotion tumbled down my belly on seeing him wear his mask back, hiding his face. Did he wear the mask because of the scar? My frustration deepened, and I could almost feel Crystal's growling reverberating through my veins like a raging river. We were both angry at his cowardly attempt to hide his face from being exposed to the public eye when it deserved to be seen.

“We’ve pulled almost every guard possible. They are working round the clock. No one enters or leaves without being vetted. The Accord hasn’t broken and it will not. There will be no talk of canceling this year’s Crimson Ball.” I stand and make a point to meet each of their eyes so they understand where we go from here. “Mask whatever uneasiness you feel. To the humans, to the rogues, or to whoever is watching. We will show strength, not fracture. The Accord must look unbreakable.” Silence followed me as I left the table. I can taste the questions that linger in the air. Eira’s omen didn’t seem to be fulfilled, but I wouldn’t let it get any further.

They all wore black hoods and masks over their mouths. "If you do this again, you'd be given a more harsher punishment," Jereum noted, "plus I'd just beat you up again." "Oh, Jereum, as I recall; I won our last fight, your face was burning away and I would have probably staked out your lungs if not for that prant," he said, throwing a finger at my direction, and I wondered if 'prant' was even a word "That's not even a word," Jereum said, and I thought I saw him trying to mouth the word silently to himself.

* *The next day* Crimson sat in front of the mirror staring at herself, the make up was done and she was dressed on her Royal attire with a crown on her neatly made hair. A tear dropped from her eyes, she quickly wiped it up. "Our problems sometimes makes us stronger, Moon goddess, Please make me Strong, I'm not doing this because I want to but for the sake of my throne, Please show me a way." Crimson exclaimed. Alpha Zaid joined her, she quickly wiped her tears. "You look really beautiful my Luna, look, I got you a gift." Alpha Zaid said and showed her a diamond necklace. "It's beautiful, but I think that's much."
