Regina frowned. “My family isn’t special.” Aldric shook his head slightly. “Crimson Hollow’s Alpha line is one of the oldest in the region,” he explained. “Strong wolves. Strong healing.” Regina’s expression darkened. “So he wanted power.” “Most likely.” The thought made Aldric’s jaw tighten. "Explain." I said. "She was the daughter of the former beta of the Crescent pack, her pack was overthrown and they had a new alpha named Alpha Rick, the alpha that has been really disturbing at times to us." He said and I swallowed, wondering what he did to her.

Then she hung up. Bella tried to call Mira back, but Mira ignored her call. She was so focused on her frustration that she didn't realize that someone had spotted her. A hand grabbed her and pulled her out of the corner, and she felt herself being held by a man who towered over her. "Who the fuck are you?" he demanded.
