Her friend’s powers of the witches have awoken, and the wolves did not want that to happen. The werewolves in the past were hunted and used for experiments for the witches to achieve a spell they were never been able to do. It was to be able to trans mutate into animals. The witches could not find the secrets to doing the spell. there was only one witch that was able to do such a thing. That witch was the grand witch. No other witch could figure out how she was able to achieve such greatness or learn her secret in doing the spell.

“I don’t like it,” the old wolf muttered. Xandros didn’t even glance his way. “You don’t have to like it. You just have to stand there and keep your mouth shut.” Korin grumbled, folding his arms, his gray beard twitching. “The witches burned my great grand uncle’s territory. Twice.” “And wolves tore my grandmother's sister in half,” Gaelle snapped from the opposite side of the field, where the witches had gathered beneath the oaks. “So if you want to count bodies, we’ll be here all night.”

Add to that, the witches have added their ‘witchy lights’ and we can barely get the sprites out of the gardens. We realized much too late that many of the witches needed our help, just as much as other supernaturals. Cohen and I have taken in several single mothers who were running just so they could protect their children. Some have even found their mates among the wolves and even some among the sprites. At first, the wolves would be jealous that their mate had children with another man, but in many instances, these children were the result of some cultish coven event where the leader of the coven slept with all the women, whether consensual or not. His face hardens like stone. "Like the Salem witch trials?" I ask. He chuckles. "Kind of. But only if the humans knew that they hanged other humans conceiving them as witches." "Bloody hell! That means the witches were never executed?" "Of course not. They couldn't even get one witch on the rope. Salem witches are very powerful. And at that time, a group of them started preaching The Dark Lord which led to spreading of diseases and several deaths." "That's so dangerous!" I say when a thought clicks my head. "Umm...do you think Branson is one?"

"Are you saying the family that came here, mum’s and your family, were from the witch trails? William, this isn’t a time for joking around. Please I want fact not fairytale.” Ivy was told all about the trails, her mother loved to share the facts she managed to dig up. Hidden truths in plain sight. Weren’t witches.

I came from a family of witches. When we came of age, every woman in our line awakened a gift. I could siphon my husband's luck through marriage. The rule was simple. After we married, each time he betrayed me, the universe paid compensation. A portion of his fortune slipped away from him and into my hands. Outside the window, bright fireworks filled the sky. They burst and stitched themselves into a name. Kimberly Swan was his mistress. When I did not explode the way people expected, Jasper Prescott grew even more entitled.

Lola understood by now that they were all dead serious about this, so she asked, “So what happened to them? “ Fenna balled her fists, “The Fire Wolves were loved by most of the werewolves. Everyone accepted they should be leading because of their powers. They were strict but also fair so there was peace for many centuries. Until the Grey Oak clan led by Noah his grandfather got jealous. He schemed with other packs that were unhappy. They wanted more power, particularly for men. The Fire Wolves did not believe in privilege by rank or gender. Anyway, they tricked the Fire wolves with the help of the high priestess. They drugged them and burned the whole village with every single wolf in them.

"Get the witch. Joshua and Hannah found the crystals." Twelve o'clock was known as the witching hour. No one knew why witches were extremely powerful at this time of night. Pandora would say it was because it's the time humans were vulnerable to the things that dwelled in darkness and our greatest sense which was sight was compromised. “I’m sure that you would tell us anyway, so why don’t you get on with it?” She sneered back at me. “It means that I know every dirty little secret you all have been doing against each other to rise in ranks. For instance, your little sister, Isobel did not die by being mauled by wolves, it was the queen mother of your coven that orchestrated her death and the death of six other witches her age to rise to the rank of being the leader of your coven. The witches who were sacrificed for your so-called queen mother, their names are Sabrina, Dhalia, Maya, Freya, Gretta, and Genna”

According to the report, Camelana was protecting the young knights because she planned to employ them in raids against village leaders in the Munster kingdom. Criselda answered, "The entire court of elders attempted to connect us to the rest of the coven in order to prevent us from being defeated by the feral lycans," Criselda paused, and Marietta didn't have to ponder long before she came up with the idea. After all, she was already aware of the answer.
