Murmured and grumbled to herself but still she sat down. I unveiled the item before everyone which lay on the stool. It was a golden crown that was made of emerald stones sparkling like diamonds. "I have decided to crown Cassidy Hart as the Luna of Blood Moon pack," I announced to the crowd.

The shockwave rolls through the pack: heads snap down as one, throats bared, knees hitting stone in perfect unison. Even the elders bow. The mountain shudders—distant snow avalanches roaring, howls rising in layered harmony that shakes the stars. The Oracle steps back. Her milky eyes glow brighter for one heartbeat. “The moon has spoken. The flame has answered. Rise, Luna of the Northern Dominion.” I release Maureen’s hand only to lift the crown. Obsidian heavy. Rubies like frozen blood. Moonstone heart catching crimson fire. I place it on her head. It settles perfectly.

Then, with a groan, the iron door shifted, revealing a stairway spiraling into darkness. They descended cautiously. What awaited them wasn’t a chamber of secrets but a sanctuary—untouched by war, sealed away from time. Candles burned eternally on the walls, enchanted flames flickering blue and silver. In the center of the room stood a pedestal bearing a single object: A crown. But not just any crown. A crown. Black metal. Old as hell. Covered in weird symbols. "The Silent Crown," Celeste whispered.

"I bestow upon you this Queen's Crown, affirming your honor. You are the chosen future queen, destined to wed the prince." Elder William lifted the crown from the tray, an exquisite masterpiece crafted from the purest silver, adorned with the whitest gemstones, and embellished with radiant diamonds and moonstones. At its pinnacle, a moonlit blue sapphire shimmered, encircled by twelve dazzling diamond stars. Silver laurel leaves elegantly entwined the crown's base, reminiscent of waves cradling luminous stars. Such a crown surpasses our mortal craftsmanship; only the Moon Goddess could conceive such celestial beauty.

With my head bent low, I waited as the elder placed Adrian's crown on his head before reaching for my crown and gently placing it on mine. The crown was heavy, it was made out of pure gold and diamonds. I kept my neck straight, giving support to my head and allowed myself to get accustomed to the heaviness.

Something in his eyes, anticipation, perhaps, or nervousness… made me turn to face him fully. “What’s that?” I asked, nodding toward the box. Instead of answering, he stepped forward and lifted the lid. My hand flew to my mouth, a small gasp escaping before I could catch it. Nestled on black velvet lay a delicate crown, not the heavy, ostentatious thing I’d imagined when he mentioned royal regalia, but something ethereal and perfect. White gold twisted into intricate patterns that reminded me of moonlight on water, with moonstones scattered throughout like stars in a night sky.

The driver clicks to open the door and moves a bit to the sides. Dark red heavy shoes with a sharp point in the front land out of the gate on the ground. A light brown surcoat over a golden and white tunic sways out with a tall and wide man. The golden crown shines brightly on his head. Light brown skin with a darker shade of brown beards is under the green eyes.

There was a lining of pride in her undertone. “On this day, the day of the third lunar Circle.” She continued strongly. I felt goosebumps, accompanied by chills, reign all over my body and I believed it was the same for everyone. My mum’s hand rose high into the air towards Cayden’s head.. and then above it. The moment was magical. The Crown glistened as she lowered it down toward his head now. She smiled. “I crown you, KING OF THE CANINE REIGNS…” She placed the crown on his head… and then vehement cheerful shouts shot into the air and consumed the silence.
