My shoulders shook so hard my whole body trembled. “No... no, you can’t be gone,” I cried louder. My hands gripped my dress tight until the fabric tore a little. I could barely breathe between the sobs. My chest hurt so much it felt like it was splitting open. “We were supposed to have more time... You promised me. You can’t leave me here alone like this!”

I reached for him without thinking. “Noah…” I whispered, . “Why are you crying?” He pouted like a child before speaking in a trembling voice. “Serene… she walked past me and accidentally knocked my arm.” He sniffled. “It… it’s been hurting ever since.” He glanced down at his shoulder. “And carrying my bag only made it worse.” “I couldn’t even take off my school shirt.” A sharp ache tore through my chest. I let out a slow breath before gently placing my hand on his uninjured shoulder.

She simply rested a comforting hand on my shoulder. For some reason, it only made me cry harder. "I almost died," I whispered. "I'm sorry about that." She said softly. Fiona gently rubbed my back. "You don't have to hold it in. It's okay to cry. You're allowed to." For several minutes, I cried until my eyes hurt. Fiona stayed beside me the entire time and didn't rush me. Eventually, my breathing began to settle. I wiped my eyes with a tissue and glanced toward the door.

I tried to take the knife in my hand, but it was far from my reach, and I was unable to move my hand. I can feel the pain building up in my shoulder and ribs, but I can't see the person in front of me as my vision is blurry because of tears.

I’m such a coward and a failure. “Get a grip already.” With that firm voice comes a harsh but subtle grip on my shoulders and I’m being made to rise against my will, shuddering and guiltily keeping my face away. Can’t he let me mourn for my mistakes peacefully? “Look at me and quit moping around,” His voice is wavering, melting to reveal his own sorrow as his hands leave my shoulders to hold my face, bringing it against my limpness to have me face him. That’s when the tears revving behind my eyes choose to surge out and my lips tremble apart to release my bubbling burst of cry.

A sob racked through my body, this caught my mate’s attention, who was glaring at the wound as if threatening it to heal quickly. Cupping my face, looked at me worriedly, tears brimmed his eyes. I couldn’t take it anymore and hugged him tightly. I cried on his shoulder. He was rubbing my back gently. I cried for his love, for being deplorable. I cried my heart out.

My dress is torn from trying to fight them off earlier, so it allows him easy access. My screams reach a new high as fear kicks in of what is about to happen. My thrashing becomes harder, ignoring the horrible pain in my wrists and arms. I feel a sharp pain in my arm and shoulder and cry out when I realize I have most likely pulled my arm out of its socket.

My shoulders shuddered as I sobbed, crying for all the pain I felt. It wasn’t a pretty kind. It was the ugly, shuddering, snot-and-mascara kind that left your face swollen and your chest sore and your dignity somewhere on the floor of the car where you'd dropped it along with your bag and your phone and your belief that this day could possibly get worse. Suddenly, a knock sounded on my window.

She pulled off of his shoulder when her sobs died and her mind cleared. Her eyes trailed towards the wet spot of her tears on his shirt "I am sorry," she said looking down. She didn't know what hit her that she began to cry on his shoulder. He stared at her small form. Her eyes were swollen due to the immense crying. Her big eyelashes were drenched in her wet tears. The tip of her nose was bright red. Her cheeks tinted pink and her lips slightly quivering with fear as she took them between her teeth to stop their tremble.

"Crying." Her lips clenched to hide the tremors while holding back her tears from falling. I immediately pulled her onto my shoulder so she could cry without worrying about anything. She could cry without my eyes, even the eyes of the world, knowing. She had to let go of the tears by sinking into my shoulder. And I will continue to accompany her crying. *** It had been about ten minutes since she shed her emotions. She released my embrace, rubbing her face vigorously with both hands. "Feeling relieved already? Has your fire gone out?"
