Ilmu leak adalah ilmu olah rohani (semedi) untuk menyatukan diri pada Sang Hyang Widi Wasa ( Tuhan Maha Esa). Ilmu tersebut disimpangkan oleh sebagian pengikutnya jadi ilmu hitam. Dalam ritual keabadian ilmu tersebut selalu mengharuskan pengikutnya mengambil darah suci dari janin yang masih dalam kandungan. Tersebutlah Dadong Canangsari menurunkan ilmu leak ke Bu Lana, keponakannya. Bu Lana serakah, menginginkan keabadian kecantikan demi memenuhi hasrat birahinya. Ia kemudian nekat mengorbankan janin hasil perselingkuhannya. Bu Lana ditemukan sekarat di tengah kobaran api yang dihasilkan oleh kilatan ilmu leak yang tak terima perilaku pengikutnya.
