Before he could second-guess himself, he reached Angela’s door and, without knocking, slid it open.
Angela’s room was a warm reflection of her—simple yet vibrant. The walls were a soft gray, adorned with posters of indie bands and famous literary quotes in swirling fonts. A guitar leaned against one corner near a small desk cluttered with open books, notebooks, and colorful pens. Her bed, draped in a blue and white comforter, was neatly made, with a pair of fuzzy socks thrown carelessly at the foot. The scent of vanilla candles lingered faintly in the air, blending with the clean, crisp smell of fresh laundry.
