Finally, he said, “I’ll tell you what. You give me your number and let me take you out. Then, you can have the drawing.”
Blushing, Shea looked at him and smiled.
“You’re quite the cheeky man, now aren’t you?” she asked.
Grinning at her, he said, “Is that a yes? Is the drawing worth it?”
Giggling, she nodded and said, “Fine. You can have my number for the drawing.”
“And the date?” he asked.
“You’ll just have to call me and find out,” she told him, handing him a paper with her phone number.
He gave her the drawing, then tucked the phone number into his pocket.
“I’ll do just that,” he said.
