She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Ryan barked, drawing his sidearm. Shadows detached themselves from the tunnel walls. Three silver masks. Red Guard stalkers. The high-frequency hum of their energy blades sliced through the air. "Stay behind me, Leo!" I commanded, drawing my silver dagger. I lunged. I moved like a predator protecting its cub. I parried the first strike, the silver-alloy blade throwing sparks. I drove my dagger into the seam of the first stalker’s mask. Ga-chi. The sound of bone grinding against metal bit home.

As long as he survived the upcoming thunder tribulation, the Oculus Blade would be ranked top among all immortal weapons! Severin was incredibly excited by that thought. He took a deep breath, suppressed the joy in his heart, and stared intensely at the figure of the sword embryo floating in front of him.
