********My Fantasy******** This story really began many years ago, when I was just 19. One night, something happened that would ultimately shape my life far more than I could have imagined at the time. I was sitting in my car with my girlfriend, Bella, listening as she confessed to having been unfaithful. To my surprise and confusion, I found myself becoming sexually aroused by what she was telling me. She explained that while I had been out of town, she attended a party, got drunk, and ended up sleeping with three men. I can’t fully explain why, but as she described the details, I felt a deep, almost trembling arousal.

[The Mercy of the Blade] The Spire had become a cathedral of red light and screaming data. As I stepped out of the service lift, the hum of the "Global Synchronization" vibrated through the marrow of my bones. Every screen in the transit hub was a mirror of my nightmare: Jinyan’s face, projected in a thousand directions, his eyes a toxic, unblinking gold. He wasn't just the Architect anymore; he was the signal. And Elara, the ghost in his skin, was finally turning the world into the cage she had never escaped.

Chapter 4: Descent into Darkness The days after that first time on the desk blurred into something I no longer recognized. Damien stopped pretending there was any real separation between his writing and what we did together. I was no longer just Elena the assistant. I had become the woman from his pages, living and breathing inside his dark stories.

She turns on her heels immediately and leaves, while I’m left alone to think of my future. When my fingers move, they do so on my desktop, typing words I knew would sooner come to mind. ‘Lupin Academia: Kindergarten’ The first few things I see on the internet after typing that are appreciation posts for Zeath and Yolie who happens to have donated a huge sum to the school. Their pictures are all over the place, including that of their daughter; Nectar Diza Lupin. I hadn’t summoned the courage to be on this side of the web since. But maybe it’s time to face it now. If not, I may not be able to make progress on my vengeance.

I wouldn’t want to live it, of course, but it’s fun to imagine how bad things could get, and how good people would function in the aftermath. In this book, I also explored a bit how harsh times make even good people do some questionable things. Can you forgive a good character if he (or she) does something morally ambiguous for the ones they love? I like complex characters and questions like that. I hope I gave a modicum of competency to exploring the idea.
