LOGINAdelaide is a wolf who has been scorned all her life. Being the daughter of the Alpha to the Brairwolf pack, she has been an utter disappointment from birth. She is demoted to the post of pack slave despite being the Alpha's daughter and after she is almost beaten to the point of death, she finally makes a decision to run away. Her parents get to her first. Their plan for her is simple. Sell her off to the Lycan king of the north. But what happens when Adelaide gets to the Lycan king's home and meets a man more complex and scary than she could have ever imagined? Lyros is a cold hearted and ruthless man, but when the small, scared omega is offered to him as a sacrifice, he finds himself sparing her life. First out of spite to her parents. But then later, out of something else. Something that confounds him and makes his heart beat in an unwelcome way. Will she be the one to unravel the folds of ice the Lycan king has wrapped around himself, and will he ever find it in his heart to love another? He tells her from the onset "I can never love someone like you." But slowly, even in the midst of the difficulties around them, feelings blossom. Adelaide tries to look past her resentment for Lyros and see the warmth in him, but the Lycan king has proposed a deal. "Instead of being a wife I'll kill soon, become a weapon for me Adelaide. If you can do that for me, then I'll set you free, but if you can't, I'll make your life a living hell." Will she refuse this, despite all her suffering? Or will she become the weapon that kills the Lycan king instead?
View MoreHey lovely readers. First of all i want to say a big thank you to all of you. Thank you for reading up to this point and going on this journey with me, i really appreciate it and you don't know how much your support means to me. To my top fan Mrs Wendy N Barrett i say a big thank you because she loved this book and she used every opportunity to make me know. Thank you for the encouragement. Sold to the Lycan King (The Lycan's flame) has come to an end, and i want to say i think i tried a bit on this one. Writing it was a bit hard, navigating through the facets of Adelaide and Lyros/ Adelaide and Cain. Also the way my laptop gave up on me for a month plus and then having to come back to writing the book after taking such a long break was a bit difficult, but it's the end now. I hope some of the main conflicts were resolved. Anything left unanswred will probably be addressed in a sequel. Meanwhile make sure to check out my new book, Four Months with my Stepson and the Twin Alphas
Cain grabs onto my waist and kisses me, hauling me up and plastering me against him. His voice is a rough husk in my ear as he whispers “You did it, Adelaide.” Tears run down my eyes and he hugs me, holding my body to his as I sob into his chest. I don’t think I'd believe what just happened if someone told me it would a few months ago. All I wanted was to be free and run off to hell knows where, but I'm glad for what I did. Now I know I have parents, parents who loved me and a mother who would have done anything for me. I’m not just the pack omega destined to be maltreated and beaten for all of her life. The suffering I went through changed me. It gave me tougher skin and with the power of my heritage… I've just won back my kingdom. Freedom is mine if I want it. Freedom, and power, and love, if I want any of it, and all of it, and I do. I really do. I kiss Cain again, just to cement the fact that we are a thing now. We’re more than a thing. I’m wearing his ring. He’s as much
Lyros is no longer the all-powerful Lycan lording his majesty over the weak populace. We are powerful in our own right now.And in the face of real power, the Lycan king can only do one thing, cower, like a coward.Lyros attempts to run but almost like he knows it’s futile there’s no spirit in it. Lycan speed might have given him a chance, but running was just one final way of making a dash for his life.I flash and slam Lyros with my sword, the blade slapping the side of his face and drawing blood as he tumbles to the ground. I lean down and whisper close to his ear,“I don’t intend to kill you Lord Lyros.”I feel his heartbeat intensify as my words graze his ears but I continue confidently, “I intend to make you pay for all you’ve done. For the young girls you plucked from weak werewolf packs, only to kill them after torturing them, their dreams ended and hopes cut short because of your wickedness. I intend to make you pay for the cities you’ve attacked, the people you have killed,
I rip through the fabric of space as I burn.I feel the Lycan’s flame coursing through my being and it sets me on fire with the force of a supernova. I feel the strength of a thousand stars in me. The flames lick at my dress, burning it short and tattered, turning me into a version these men see, but which they don’t see at all.I wonder how many times Lyros has looked at me and seen nothing but skin. Nothing but clothes in pieces, flesh for the taking, a body to be claimed, and a mind to have fun with.I wonder how many times he’s seen skin and ignored the fire that rages in my heart. Ignored the love I have for the simple things. Ignored the fact that I am more than just skin and flesh, that I am heart and brains and emotion. That I am not his plaything.I am a Queen, and this Kingdom is mine.I kill the King beyond the border first. The battle with him takes less than an hour.In my hand is a sword hot as flame and solid as diamond. Rafie attacks me next so I slay him too.Raymel
Lyros kisses me slowly and passionately. It’s like all my thoughts melt when I am in his arms and right now, right now I am in his arms.I run my hands down the smooth fabric of the thin forest green shirt he’s wearing and it’s like I cannot get enough. The ridges of muscle on Lyros’s arms are strong
I talk about my day as Lyros eats.I don’t have much to talk about, but I improvise as he eats and I slip in a few enthusiastic questions here and there. When I ask if I'm being a bother by talking too much, he tells me he likes the sound of my voice and I can talk all I want.Lyros finishes his helpi
The faint crunch of Lyros’s tyres on the gravel of the fortress snaps me out of sleep and I jerk awake with a start. I look at the food and it’s still there. I thank the stars that I didn't make the mistake of spilling it while I dozed off. The candles are still burning and a soft chill wind comes i
Raina stays with me and pores over the map but I can tell she’s not getting anything from it too. The map is so wide we’re kneeling on it and my dress ruffles when I move. The fabric is a lot. Lyros doesn’t allow me to wear pants and even shorter, simpler dresses are forbidden. It’s no problem though
