While waiting for the bus to arrive, her mind wandered to her son, who was at preschool. With the unsuccessful job search, Daisy had dedicated her day to taking care of her child, cherishing the opportunity to be with him. Lost in thought, she didn't notice the black car suddenly appearing and stopping in front of her.

It was a rare moment of peace for him, and I didn’t have the heart to interrupt. “Did you know,” I said, leaning back on the bench, “that daisies mean innocence?” Olly looked over his shoulder at me, tilting his head slightly. “They do?” His voice was still soft, fragile, but the fact that he was using it at all made me smile. “They do,” I said, nodding. “They’re like little reminders that no matter what happens, there’s still goodness in the world.” He stared at the flowers a moment longer before standing and brushing the dirt off his knees. “I like that,” he said quietly, walking back to sit beside me.

My feet had led me to Hazel’s garden, the turmoil in my mind had calmed down at the sight of such surreal beauty. Daisy’s POV I looked at myself in the mirror, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. I was wearing a short black gown Liam had picked out for me. The gown was open at the back, with silver chains forming several "U" shapes across the space. The sleeves were slightly wider at the wrists, adding a touch of elegance.
