I followed the signal past the main warehouses, keeping my boots quiet against the gravel. Fifty yards ahead, a section of the fence had been cut open. The chain-link wire had been pulled back, leaving just enough space for someone to slip through. I crouched beside the opening and looked out across the tarmac. A large black cargo ship sat on the launchpad, its engines idling with a low vibration. Yellow floodlights mounted along the ship's hull cut through the fog, illuminating the loading area below. Three armed mercenaries stood at the base of the lowered hydraulic ramp, rifles slung across their tactical vests.

“Pots for water.’ Another called out. “Fire, something to make fire.” Another man called out. “Rations.” Jacob said coming up behind her. “Well it looks like you all have this under control. We have five boats, four to a ship and take as much as you can of each category.” Danica said, giving out orders. The men nodded and quickly dismissed themselves heading to complete their missions. Danica patted Kalebs hand letting it off her shoulder as she began walking towards the captain's cabin. “Dani?” Kaleb called after.

Lasers beamed out of them in short rays and hit the ship.
