He looks like he’s two seconds away from tearing Danny in half. “What the fuck, man?” Danny says, clearly confused and maybe a little terrified. “Get the fuck out,” Lucas growls, his eyes flashing gold. Danny blinks, then stutters, “You’re... Alpha Lucas?” “Now,” Lucas snaps. Danny doesn’t need to be told twice. He bolts so fast he probably leaves a Danny-shaped cloud behind.

He looked utterly drained. "Mr. Gulley! Are you alright?" Spotting Cassian, Darren nodded, saying glumly, "I didn't manage to catch up to that bastard." Considering the fact that Phantom was a skilled expert, Cassian would've been shocked if Darren had successfully caught up to him. Darren's eyes were red as he snarled through clenched teeth, "That damned bastard! He killed so many of our villagers just to test his necromancy. He's a heartless monster! I'm going to kill him to avenge Roy and the others."

Blood sprays into the air, droplets raining down, splattering the ground like crimson paint. “Canum! Drop the knife now!” My voice cracks with fury. He laughs, pressing harder against Phantom’s bleeding trachea. “Give up your crown, Phantom. Let me rule indefinitely, and I’ll spare her life. She’ll never be in danger again. I’ll even let her return to Falls Quaker. Say yes, and this ends. You’ll be free of responsibility. It’s okay, son. Let go. Just say yes.” Phantom’s eyes remain wide, unmoving.

Justice’s POV “Ghost, are you okay, my darling?” I didn’t intend to barrel into him, but I had to stop him, not just corral him to pack territory as Lenora requested. “You’re my mate?” Ghost takes a step back. He seems confused. I hope he didn’t hit his head in the collision. “Yes. I’m Justice.” I lower my head and step closer. “I’m your mate. Did I hurt you?”

Danny was glad he was back and alright but also worried about his whereabouts the past few days and how he had suddenly just appeared looking radiant as if they never had an argument which resulted in him leaving in the first place. His discussion with Jackson returned to his mind and he made a mental note to give Jackson a call after dinner and to go pay him a visit at his motel. "Hello, GrandPa, nice to have you back." He never minds links me first. It was always me doing it whenever I had something to get. It's the only reason why I ever had summoned him. Now that he had initiated it, I couldn’t believe it was just for telling me about a freaking dead body. Danny threw his head back and cracked the bones of his neck to stretch. “You need stretching to fucking tell me the real shit?”

He looked at Alex, but he didn't see the man he loved; he saw a a liar, a phantom that wouldn't let him die in peace. "Don't... touch... me," Danny gasped, his hands flying up to cover his ears. "You’re not real. You’re a hallucination. My brain is broken. It’s all broken." Alex didn't rush him. He sank to his knees on the floor a few feet from the bed, making himself smaller, lower than the boy on the mattress. He stayed silent, letting the waves of Danny’s panic wash over him through the bond. He felt the cold, the hopelessness, and the terrifying desire for the world to simply stop.

“Draymond? You can’t be Draymond.” “Of course I can’t be Draymond,” the man snickered. “Ghost Damon, The Alpha Slayer and King of the Lycans. Nice to meet you, Jimin.” Ghost extended his hand for a quick handshake but Jimin stared at him, refusing to take his hand. “I’ve watched him kill people for smaller reasons,” Calisté whispered in Jimin’s ears. “If I were you, I would take his hand already.”

But then Danny came running, screaming for his hero, and I realized my Danny was already gone. Fast forward to now... Danny pulls back from my kiss, gasping for air as if I am poisonous. I don’t mind. I just let my eyes drift past him to the man leaning against the archway. Chadwick looks like a ghost, pale skin, heavy bandages, eyes like flint. I feel a slow, jagged smirk pull at my mouth. "Leo?" Danny’s voice is a broken whisper. He is trembling so hard his teeth are practically chattering. "What did you just do? What... please, just leave. My mum..."
