Chapter 1 Andres P. O. V "Confess your treacherous act in the sight of the goddess and man!” The slayer barked at a man whose head was resting on the decapitation stool, ready to be beheaded. My insides churned the more my gaze lingered on him, and the pain transitioned into violence, threatening to rip me apart. He has been a critical part of my life, and now he will be beheaded right in front of me. He was Roberto Alonso, my father's best friend, beta and trainer.

I kept my cool, though my anger simmered close to the surface. “I was careless,” Dante explained, almost pleading. “I didn't expect…” he trailed off. I raised my hair again, and he flinched. However I only tilted his chin back up to look at me. “Good. You recognize your mistake,” my thumb brushed his cheek, musing internally. He truly was beautiful. If only he could control his strange impulses to annoy me. “Now, tell me. Who is Marcel?” “He’s a colleague. An assassin,” Dante spoke, but his eyes betrayed a veiled emotion I could not read. My ire sparked once more, and I hummed low, almost a grunt.

I could only see the first word which read: ‘Sin.’

"I always thought your type would be...a boring blue-collar guy." "Exactly." Brittany seconded. I shot them a flat look. "I'm touched, but really, you've got the wrong idea about Dante and me." "I heard from a girl who knew another girl he dated that Dante hits women." Betty said. "It's like a kink for him." Brittany held up a palm near her lips and whispered. "BDSM?" "Absolutely." Betty confirmed. "He probably has a room filled with ropes, toys and whips."

She wasn’t expecting me to say that. “Very well then.” She raised her hand and three rogues jumped out, but they weren’t fast enough. Dante was faster, he lunged at the rogues before they even got to him, biting into one of their necks as he ripped it clean off the body. Blood splattered everywhere, his fangs dug into the other rogue and took his beating heart out. He slashed the other one in its face and finally took his head off. “Impressive, but let’s see how fast you can take all of us down.” They all charged at us and I could hear my heart beating wildly.

Mason smirked as he held me, leading me away. As we made our way past them, Damien roared and launched at Mason attempting to grab his neck. Acting immediately, he pushed me behind sheltering me from the crazed alpha as he punched Damien hard. The force from the punch pushed Damien who was mid air, back to the ground crashing hard. Shit!!! That was so cool!!! “ Babe...” Lena whimpered as she rushed up to Damien who looked shocked for a second as he didn't expect the retaliation at such lengths.

It was war smelling the mate bond. I thought the bond was dead. “You smell like power now,” he growled. “Like storms and the moonlight. What really happened to you?” I stood tall, refusing to hide my body. “I survived. I was what you tried to kill.” Damon’s jaw dropped. For the first time, I felt pain appear right in his eyebrows. “I was wrong, Annie. Cassandra lied to me. I only allowed pride and fear to make me throw away the best thing in my life… my coming Luna.”

I could tell that she agreed we needed one of these areas. The bastards did not look like they were doing too good. They were bloodied and bruised. The bitch Luna herself looked like absolute fucking shit. Her semi decent look must have been achieved by the use of far too many cosmetics. Brynn had brought a couple of things of her own too. One of them was a wolfsbane serum that Dante had created. Its added quality was the pain of liquid silver mixed with the wolfsbane without there actually being silver. It allowed for extended torture and was fucking brilliant. She also brought the shifter mace.

she said, then disappeared down the hallway. “Patin?” Cassandra called out, reaching for the door. She knocked, once, twice, three times, nothing. She held the door handle and twisted it open, announcing “I'm coming in,” She opened the door to an empty room. For a brief moment, she took in the luxurious interior. Just then, the bathroom door hissed open, steam spilling into the room. Dante stepped out, his body bare with only a white towel strapped to his waist. His hair was wet, the water dripping down his body. A dark, coiling serpent tattoo stretched from his right arm across his chest, its scales seemed to glisten in the light.

Dante’s men. Jaxon’s voice was a command, a roar of defiance as guns were drawn and fists clenched. The fight tore through the warehouse like a storm, flashes of violence, grunts of pain, the smell of sweat and gunpowder. Raven moved with fierce purpose, shielding Talia, eyes scanning for the enemy’s leader. Then, from the shadows, a cold smile, the unmistakable face of Dante. His eyes burned with betrayal and madness. Jaxon met him head-on, a collision of titans fueled by years of broken trust and blood debt.
