Lyra Darkness wasn’t just the absence of light. It breathed. It pulsed. It whispered her name like a lullaby laced with poison. The Hollowed Ones hadn’t chained her, yet Lyra had never felt more trapped. The forest surrounding her wasn’t the same forest Kael had once dragged her from.
