Golden Luna

Golden Luna

“Do I look like someone who needs your help? I don’t need your apologies, and trust me, if really I need a shoulder to cry on, it’s definitely not yours. Its either you leave this room, or I do you the favor of leaving this pack. And please when going, take your food with you, I am not hungry.” I saw the sadness in her eyes but they weren’t real to me. I just needed some time to mourn and grief and she just had to interrupt my peace. Freya left my room, I got up immediately shutting the door and locking it behind me. “Dad, the man you’ve always wanted to match me up with has a pregnant wife.” I muttered. Feeling so weak, I went back to the bed and had no idea when I slept off. _

Auden’s Blessing

Auden’s Blessing

“I want to go back.” He let out a soft sigh, then lay sideways at the edge of the bed, reaching out to support her neck with his arm. “Close your eyes.” It felt like magic—like a gentle, irresistible command. Frigga obediently closed her eyes. He lightly patted her back. Then she heard it—a soft, soothing melody. Listening more closely, she realized it was an Aesir lullaby. Under normal circumstances, she would have been annoyed, accusing him of treating her like a child.

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

] Acro suggested. "Lullaby? You're right, I haven't sung a lullaby to them ever since." But I don't know what Dandeline used to sing with them before. Therefore, I shifted into my wolf and howl very gently. I put tone to my howl with the same melody of my mother's lullaby. I stopped when I noticed they were tamed and remained silent whilst staring at me with wide eyes. My tail waggles. I shift into my pup wolf and lie down beside them to continue my howl lullaby, "Arwooo~ Rwarwarwaaar~ Wowoorwar~ Rwarowooo~"

The Triplet's Bullied Mate

The Triplet's Bullied Mate

Elowen's POV The next morning, the grand packhouse, usually a bastion of calm and order, buzzed like a disturbed hive. A palpable tremor of unease, mingled with a surging tide of fervent curiosity, rippled through the gathered members. The word had spread faster than wildfire, carried on the invisible currents of pack telepathy and hushed whispers. Some claimed to have caught the impossible golden light through the upper windows of the nursery, a beacon of otherworldly power. Others swore they had felt a subtle tremor in the very air—like a soft, resonant thunder without a storm, a deep hum that resonated in their bones. But one thing was certain, undeniable, and spoken of in hushed, awe-fil

The Gifted Luna

The Gifted Luna

The council chamber was dim, lit only by a few candles. But the darkness did nothing to quiet the venom in Elder Garron’s voice. “They brought a cursed Bloodfang wolf into our home,” he hissed, pacing. “As if that is not enough for us to be worried about, the Luna… her aura is unstable. She could tear this pack apart at any given time." Another elder nodded. “We all felt it. When she stepped through the gates, the torches flickered. The walls trembled. That was not the Goddess, it was the curse.”

Escaping the Mafia Lord

Escaping the Mafia Lord

Sofia's laughter was a symphony that lifted Georgina's spirits, a rare and treasured melody in her otherwise tumultuous life. Georgina sang sweet lullabies, her voice a soothing rhythm that calmed both her and Sofia. In an act of sheer joy, she gently threw Sofia into the air and caught her, reveling in her daughter's giggles. The room, a prison, transformed into a sanctuary where love and laughter bloomed.

Rejected Omega, claimed by the Ruthless Alpha

Rejected Omega, claimed by the Ruthless Alpha

He lifted their daughter with hands that had once snapped men’s necks, cradling her against his chest as if she were the most precious thing in the realm. “Hush,” he murmured, rocking gently. “It’s all right, little wolf. I’m here.” He hummed again—the same lullaby he’d sung before. His deep voice rumbled through the room and through Aria, settling something in her even as it soothed the baby. Liora quieted, tiny fingers curling into his shirt, cries melting into soft, sleepy snuffles. Aria lay there, watching them—the beast and the pup, both gentled by the same song—and felt her heart stretch to the point of ache.

"Great job, champ!" "Mama!" Garret exclaimed, jumping off the bed and running towards Lyyana. Lyyana squatted down, welcoming Garret with open arms. They hugged, "How was your sleep? Sweet dreams?" Garret nodded and described his embrace, the toddler looked enthusiastic pulling Lyyana towards his bed and telling her about the dream he had. Lyyana also tried to listen enthusiastically to Garret's story, even though she felt dizzy and unwell, she still smiled and hid her discomfort.

Blessed Luna Rising: A Dark Medical Mate-Bond Revenge

“You were so loud, Mama. It came in.” Lyra caught her wrists gently. “Hey,” she said. “You didn’t do anything wrong. You were just…hearing. Like when you hear a siren. It’s not your fault it’s noisy.” Luna’s shoulders relaxed a fraction. “’Kay.” Rhea whistled low. “Well. That answers the ‘does she have weird pup gifts’ question.” Lyra shot her a look. “This is not on my pediatric milestones chart.” “It is on mine,” Rhea said. “Right under ‘says the word “scalpel” before “ball.”’”

Fated to My Mate's Twin

Fated to My Mate's Twin

It was the same lullaby that had started all this and I wondered if the Moon goddess had created this Lullaby to make Ephialtes go to sleep. The gentle melody sent a soothing sensation through our body as if willing us to sleep as well making me sag against Cain’s body as I sat down on the ground tired but happy at last. We were safe. We were all safe. I couldn’t believe that we had been able to defeat Ephialtes at last… “Asa,” Cain called out as I hummed along to the lullaby feeling at peace as I felt my body grow heavy with the gentle song that played. Was I feeling sleepy, as well?

Really loved that. It's new to me, I am not a big fan of Werewolves tho. But enjoying it so far. I hope Crain will take Asa's revenge from Clay. That was so heart breaking when she misunderstood him. Well done!

The writing is very captivating. The characters are believable and I cared about them. I sincerely don't want asa to land with clay. She deserves better!! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes werewolf romance. It's so worth the read!

Frequently Asked Questions

Man, 'Lullaby' by Chuck Palahniuk is one of those books that leaves you staring at the ceiling for hours after finishing it. The ending is classic Palahniuk—dark, twisted, and oddly satisfying in its chaos. Carl Streator, the protagonist, finally embraces the power of the 'culling song,' a poem that kills anyone who hears it. After a wild journey of self-destruction and reckoning, he uses it to wipe out most of humanity, including himself, in a final act of nihilistic release. It’s bleak, sure, but there’s a perverse logic to it—like the world’s worst lullaby finally putting everything to sleep. The last scenes with Helen, the only survivor, are haunting; she’s left to rebuild from the ashes, carrying the weight of what’s been lost. It’s not a happy ending, but it’s unforgettable in the way only Palahniuk can deliver.

What sticks with me most is how the book plays with the idea of control. Carl spends the whole story trying to suppress or weaponize the song, and in the end, he just… lets go. There’s something almost freeing about how it all collapses. No grand moral, no redemption—just the raw, messy consequence of power unchecked. Helen’s survival feels like a tiny flicker of hope, but even that’s ambiguous. It’s the kind of ending that makes you want to immediately flip back to page one and reread it, just to see how everything was leading to this moment. If you’re into stories that leave you unsettled and thinking for days, 'Lullaby' nails it.
