Love in Dark

Love in Dark

Eyes lock across a crowded room, or someone is doing dishes and their partner sneaks up to give them a hug and nibble on their ear. Romance is more than just bedroom mechanics. It’s all the moments leading up to and the moments after. Many romance books have no sex scenes at all, everything is fade to black or behind closed doors. Just like that for them, their small, sweet moments where everything in their relationship which were making their relation more stronger and bringing them closer at moments of life. "I want to say something to you" She said to him, still standing in her position.

Forbidden Romance Tales

The desk, the books, the searing heat of him, it all dissolved into the oppressive, grey light of a Tuesday morning filtering through her cheap blinds. “Bloody hell…” she muttered, burying her face in the pillow. She lay there, heart hammering against her ribs, her skin slick with a fine sheen of sweat, the ghost of his touch still tingling on her lips, the echo of his groan ringing in her ears. Her chest still heaved as though she had run a mile, skin damp with sweat, lips tingling from phantom kisses. It wasn’t the first time. For weeks she had woken from near-identical dreams, each one more explicit than the last, each one starring the same man, Dr. Davis Clarke, her Literature professor.

MY BROTHER-IN-LAW IS OBSESSED WITH ME

“About two hundred times. I think my phone’s algorithm thinks I’m obsessed with your manhwa.” “You’re welcome,” she said smugly. “You know, you should ride that wave. Dark romance is hot right now. Especially the…what do you call it? Enemies-but-not-really, lovers-but-maybe-murder-each-other genre. It’s your thing.” “Yeah, because my life is exactly that: tragic flirting with a side of death threats,” I muttered.

CLAIMED BY THE DEMON KING: DARK ROMANCE

CLAIMED BY THE DEMON KING: DARK ROMANCE

Though they were still beautiful, there's something about them that makes your blood run cold at first glance, something that makes them look dark and ominous. Dark magic and plotting evil does that to a werewolf. ‎ ‎Anita laughter carries across the battlefield, cruel and melodic. “Is this the mighty army of the Lycan Kingdom?” she called out, her voice echoing unnaturally. “How disappointing. How pathetic. I came here to enjoy a show! This cannot be it!” ‎ ‎The soldiers stiffen. Even the rogues fall silent, bowing their heads as she passes. ‎ ‎My blood goes cold. ‎

Chapters 22 & 23 are flipped. Chapter 16 & onwards have very large blank spaces in between paragraphs & single sentences making the chapters seem longer than they actually are. Just feels like a waste (5 stars so it doesn't get buried)

It's not how the description actually describes. If you like stories with sexual tension, cliffhangers, inward dialogue, It's for you. I'm enjoying the storyline, however, would love to have been able to read more about how d and e relationship grow in understanding each other. how did d know of e?

Silent Killer: A Dark Female Spy Romance

Silent Killer: A Dark Female Spy Romance

17 VIKTOR She was mine, completely and utterly. But I knew the truth. No matter how tightly I held her, no matter how deeply I pulled her into my darkness, there was always the risk that she would break free. And if she did… I would destroy her. 18 SABRINA There was a coldness in Viktor’s touch, even when it was meant to be warm. His fingers would graze my skin, leaving trails of possession instead of affection. Yet, I leaned into it, craved it. It wasn’t love—at least, not the kind of love I’d once dreamed about.

In the Hands of Dominic

In the Hands of Dominic

It was nighttime, and Dominic lay in bed with Andra nestled in his arms. The room was bathed in the soft glow of amber light from a single wall sconce. Outside, the distant hum of the city filtered through the closed windows, muffled and unobtrusive. Inside, there was only quiet and warmth.

Their Alpha

Their Alpha

Elijah grunted Dante shifting in his arms at seeing his mate about to have her life snuffed out. “RAVEN RUN!” Elijah’s warning came a second too late as Dante’s huge black wolf ran into Raven. Tumbling to the ground her hand still in the witch’s hair they fought for the blade. Throwing lightning at Dante failed his speed and accuracy something I hadn’t accounted for. Dante circled back around pulling Raven off his mate. Her blood curdling scream rang out in the night sending chills up my spine. He knew she couldn’t shift; knew she would be an easy target. The choice between his lifelong friends Luna or his own mate wasn’t a choice at all. I knew all too well the strength of the pull to your

he interrupted. “Stop following me Jax,” I commanded establishing my authority changing the conversation because at the end of the day he was just a massive fan of mine. “No, I want recommendations on books, preferably the slow burns with two people trying to fight their connection when they were soulmates from the moment they met but they were blind.” I know what he was doing. He was trying to describe our romance but ours was a tragedy, not a romance in my books anyway. I huffed annoyed and played his game, by saying “I would recommend Birthday Girl by Penelo-“

Through Realms Of Sins(Short Stories)

Karina gasp, she felt like she was being sucked into darkness, its felt like he could see through her every being, like he was a soul eater and she was just there waiting for him to do whatever he want to her. Her body heated up, her heart beating so fast, her eyes going into a daze the more she looked into his eyes, and the sound of her name dragged her deep into his world, enchanting her, filling her with rising desire, goosebumps rise in her skin, and her body shivered from the chilliness in his touch.

Frequently Asked Questions

One author's name that constantly pops up in discussions about dark romance is Anna Zaires. Her series starting with 'Close Obsession' has this gripping intensity that pulls you in right from the start. The way she weaves together tension, passion, and morally complex characters makes her stories unforgettable. I remember curling up with her books for hours, lost in the worlds she creates, where love is intertwined with danger and power dynamics. Her characters often toe the line between hero and anti-hero, which adds so much to the allure.

Another fantastic author is C.G. Faulkner; she has this ability to create deep emotional struggles alongside the romance. Her book 'Beneath the Burn' managed to capture my attention with its exploration of trauma and the journey toward healing through love. There’s something so captivating about the way she juxtaposes the dark elements with the redemptive aspects of love that I think many readers resonate with. Her characters embody complexity, allowing for flawed yet relatable journeys.

And let’s not forget about Tarryn Fisher. Her writing in 'The Wives' is utterly haunting and sets a new bar for psychological complexity in romance. You won't just fall in love with surprising plot twists; you'll be gasping at the revelations and how they intertwine with the characters’ relationships. One minute, you're rooting for someone, and the next, you're left questioning everything. You can never predict where her titles will take you!

It's like each title is an emotional rollercoaster that challenges your perception of love and loyalty while keeping you gripping the pages.
