Brian was running toward the door. “What the hell are you doing Kate? Shoot!” I am still waiting for a right timing, Chris raised his hands and the three men stop shooting. One more step for the big guy and my timing has come. They are now moving forward and Chris is slowly moving up. “Kate…” I can feel the frustration in him, he is an impatient man as soon as he stood up he start to pull his trigger same time as my first bullet was released. In seconds the bullet silently penetrates thru the concrete wall lessening the acceleration but still enough to get into the three man’s temple. The last bullet was stocked on the third guy’s head. Brian was on his feet surprised to see his men down.

Shit. “Keep searching! We can’t let her leave. Remember she is dangerous so if you see her use the blue bullets.” The captain orders. Blue bullets were used on the most dangerous specials. They contained a serum inside that halted any healing abilities a special may have and caused explosive pain that would render any human dead and special unconscious.

His voice cracked slightly on the last word, but he didn’t look away. Dale leaned back in his chair, folding his hands neatly. For a moment, silence stretched between them, heavy and suffocating. Then he spoke softly, his tone measured and deliberate. “I am working on it,” he said. Rhunar’s chest heaved slightly, his jaw clenching tighter. He stared at the professor, waiting for more. Dale sighed quietly, then opened the top drawer of his desk. He reached inside and, with a quiet clink, placed a small silver bullet on the polished wood in front of Rhunar.

He pulled out a single bullet. He picked up the gun, popped the cylinder, and slid the bullet into the chamber. He snapped it shut with a flick of his wrist. The door opened and Zoe came in holding a tray of tissues and a roll of bandage. "Oh thank goodness you didn't bring the axe." Dale sighted with the aim of creating a sense of humour. She closed her eyes and laughed but the two women were interested in something else. To avoid looking stupid, she stopped and opened her eyes to see a blood-stained bullet held up. "I told you, you wouldn't know how to feel a thing. And for the record you smiled during your first operation." The matron smiled and dropped the bullet in the stainless tray. Dale stared keenly at the object. "It's an Uzi kill point! Thank God it didn't break my bone." She called out as if asked to identify the object.
