I stuck a few sparkly stickers on my face and slid Dad's photo into my pocket. Then I turned to Elayne, who was totally struggling to copy the look. "Hurry up! We're gonna be late!" The scene shifted to the concert venue—chill and glowing under soft lights. I held Tia's hand in one and a glow stick in the other, swaying to the music, singing like the world wasn't falling apart. The camera rolled, and for once, I didn't look like a cancer patient. Just a girl, lost in the music.

Hunter couldn’t hold me back this time when I tried rushing forward. In a blink of an eye, I stood before my daughter, pulling her toward me. “Aw, how sweet. You almost want to make me want a daughter of my own.” Artemis sighed. “Not!” She roared as she returned to dancing around Caleb’s body.

“Don’t pretend you understand. You’ve hated me since the day we met.” “Hate you? If I hated you, do you think I’d be out here right now, trying to knock some sense into that thick skull of yours?” She exhales sharply, her eyes narrowing. "Well, you can say that I don't like you... but I tolerate you." She adds after a moment, reminding me she is Artemis who will show concern but her in her own way. "How I feel for you doesn't matter. But don't you think I am blind to see how much you love my daughter. And whether you believe it or not, that makes you exactly what she needs right now.” She places her hands on her hips and looks up at the sky.
