Liz laid in bed next to Elena. They were both exhausted from the day and the nightly celebrations. Clearing her mind, Liz closed her eyes and allowed the day to slip away into her dreams. She was back on a field full of soft green grass and wildflowers. Butterflies danced in the air, and bees moved studiously from flower to flower collecting nectar. The occasional dragonfly darted by. Liz could hear birds chirping in the distance.

Riley was convicted of attempted homicide and sentenced to a lifetime in prison. When we made it to the North Point research station, the sky was lit up by a spectacular aurora that dyed everything it touched in a green hue. Caleb stood beneath the starry sky and offered his hand to me. I didn't hesitate as I stepped forward and took his hand.

CHAPTER 57 First Dawn, First Blood September 8, 2029 – Aerie Academy, 5:57 a.m. The dorm wakes us with sunrise poured straight into our veins. No alarm. Just the sky outside our windows turning the exact shade of Remy’s eyes when he’s half-shifted, and every oath mark on our wrists flaring like a starting gun. We’re already moving. Remy’s braids are still loose from sleep, hanging wild down his back.

"Well, isn't that a visual treat for us single ladies?", Dawn asked with a sigh while she squinted toward the booth that was hidden in the darkness. "Axel is such an eye candy. I wish I could go there and introduce myself." She eyed Maya not-so-discreetly and Dawn frowned when she saw that Maya ignored her. Maya got the message, loud and clear. Dawn hoped to get access to that booth, but Maya knew that Axel is one of the rare Alphas-to-be who is not living a licentious lifestyle, and she didn't want to offend him.

[Dawn] “Dawn?” he asks, his voice soft but sharp, cutting through the quiet. His forest-green eyes lock onto mine, and the heat in them is devastating. It’s like they’re burning through every layer of my defenses, leaving me bare. The air between us feels alive—crackling, dangerous, and impossible to ignore. “Oh, I need the snacks… down… here.” My words stumble out, half a thought, because my brain is already foggy. I can feel his gaze on me, heavy and deliberate.

I go straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner. After thirty minutes I'm done preparing dinner and Maya helps me set the table and we in silence . After dinner we decide to watch a short movie on Netflix as we chat. At 10pm ,Dwain excuses himself and heads to his house. By 10:30 I'm already in bed and so is Maya. ************************************************ Dwain I just moved in today and I'm super tired. It's already noon ,my neighbourhood is silent ,I guess everybody's at work. I do the unpacking and by 4 I'm relaxing on the couch watching Netflix and eating popcorns.

Dawn closed her hand. Went to sleep.

Damian’s POV Dawn, when it finally came, was the kind that crept—not the dramatic sluice of gold you see in paintings, but the shy, reluctant light of winter. A nearly imperceptible shift: shadows thinning over hardwood, pale blue leaking across the city’s spires, as if the world, too, tiptoed for fear of disturbing her.

“They’re right, all of them. We’re your anchors, but you’re ours too.” My heart squeezes. “I still don’t understand what I’m supposed to do,” I say. “What my… power is for.” Ronnie leans forward, tapping the page with his finger. “Dawn is not destruction,” he says softly. “Dawn is renewal.
