A Heart Frozen Over

A Heart Frozen Over

I'm playing hide-and-seek with my son when he locks me on the balcony. It's freezing outside, and my face turns blue from the cold. However, all he does is laugh at me while I call for help. He makes ugly faces at me through the glass. "You look like the stray dog downstairs, Mom! You're so ugly!" I die a frosty and terrible death. Before breathing my last breath, I see my son excitedly give my husband a video call. "Mom has frozen to death, Dad. Can you take Ms. Cole home to be my new mom now?" When I open my eyes again, I'm taken back to the moment my son wants me to play hide-and-seek with him.

Reborn from Betrayal, I Cut Every Tie

Reborn from Betrayal, I Cut Every Tie

As I fought a stray dog for a loaf of moldy bread, distinguished guests arrived at the orphanage. They'd come to find the long-lost heir of a wealthy family. After confirming their choice, they donated $100 million to the orphanage and handed out chocolates to every child. My mouth watered as I reached for a box, but glowing messages flashed before my eyes. [Lawrence, show your locket! They're here to bring you home!] [Don't let that impostor steal your birthright. It's yours!] They revealed the truth: the elegant couple were my biological parents, and the poised girl beside them was my fiancée. Yet I clutched my chocolate and ran, aware of their true purpose: they'd come here just for the fake heir. Even if I revealed my locket, they'd not pay me any attention.

Blinded By Love—Literally

Blinded By Love—Literally

My fiancé, Skyler Grant, barges into the art gallery where my work is being exhibited and trashes the place. "You plagiarized Leah's work and pushed her to jump off a building! I can't believe you have the gall to have an exhibition here! I have to seek justice for her!" He sets the gallery on fire, leading to stray glass shards damaging my eyes. I'm tormented by the pain of losing my work and vision when Leah Rivers returns. She says indifferently, "It was April Fool's yesterday, and I was just fooling around. You're not mad at me, are you?" I charge at her hysterically, but Skyler shields her. "They're just some canvases—so what if they're gone? You can paint them again." He has no idea that I'll never paint again.

My Bossy Secretary

My Bossy Secretary

"We will never get along, Lexi,” Finn Mars said to Lexi Pierce. “I’m a dog person, and you're a cat person.” She nodded. “I know… You love to party, and I don't.” "I'm not really much into reading. I like hiking and swimming,” Finn said, lowering his head and brushing his lips to hers. “But if I'm a dog, I want to imprint on you and follow you around.” Lexi sighed, reached for his mouth, and nibbled playfully on his bottom lip. "I hate to admit it, but if I'm a cat, I want you to become my favorite person.” Like their choice of pets, they argued a lot, fighting like cats and dogs, but then he fell in love with her bossy secretary. Despite being different, if they learn to tolerate each other, they can be friends, but he was hopeful they would be more than that.

Severing Our Ties

Severing Our Ties

After eight years of marriage, my husband ignored my protests and brought his so-called cancer-stricken first love into our home. “You heartless woman! You don’t have an ounce of compassion! You’re not even worth a single strand of Luna’s hair!” Even my son chimed in, shouting that if I didn’t let Luna Miller in, he wouldn’t acknowledge me as his mother. That was it. I was done. I divorced him and accepted an invitation to return to the design world—back to the top where I belonged. But then they saw the forged cancer diagnosis. And suddenly, the tears came. “Baby, I was tricked! It was always you—I’ve only ever loved you!” “Mom, don’t leave me! I’m your only child!” I didn’t even look at them. Who let these crazy dogs in? They’re in my way—I’ve got an award to accept.

The Goodbye I Needed

The Goodbye I Needed

That winter, our whole family went skiing in Aespen, Amestia. It was a popular spot for werewolf nobles and the wealthy. Then, the avalanche struck. My father's first instinct was to scoop up Summer—his sleeping adopted daughter—and flee. My mother, panicked, still made sure to grab the stray puppy Summer had found. They returned to the Moonshadow Pack that same night, posting a flood of photos online and rejoicing over their miraculous escape. Not one of them remembered me. Their biological daughter was still buried beneath the snow, waiting for rescue. When I was finally rescued, I did not look back. I took my mentor's offer to study abroad and left the pack behind. I moved to Cascade City to study medicine. No more pleading, no more shrinking myself in hopes of earning back my family's love. Yet they only seemed more disgruntled. "Rose, why aren't you competing with Summer for our attention anymore?"

SOLD TO THE ALPHA FOR A ONE NIGHT STAND

SOLD TO THE ALPHA FOR A ONE NIGHT STAND

SOLD TO THE ALPHA FOR A ONE NIGHT STAND When he stepped into view, all my breath left me in one sharp gasp. His presence filled the room, an overwhelming force that took my breath away. He stood tall and confident, his black hair styled back, a few stray strands falling over his forehead, giving him a wild edge. His jaw was strong, a neatly trimmed beard only accentuating his chiseled features. He was devastatingly handsome, but it wasn’t just his looks that affected me, it was the aura around him, the power that radiated from every inch of his body. His eyes locked with mine, and an overwhelming sense of power washed over me. My heart pounded in my chest, racing like I had no control over it. This man wasn’t just anyone. There was something primal in his gaze, something dangerous and alluring. Something...otherworldly.

Moreover, his three-year-old niece is rambunctious and expressive enough that he is kept forever entertained and feels needed. I Saved the Mafia Boss—Now I'm His Obsession.

I Saved the Mafia Boss—Now I'm His Obsession.

Madeleine Júlia Cordeiro lives in a quiet, plant-filled apartment in the rougher part of Chicago. She’s twenty-one, broke, vegan, and studying animal science at the local community college. She cries over rescue dogs, talks to her plants like they’re her best friends, and thinks violence is something that only happens in action movies. Her life is calm, predictable, and painfully ordinary. Until he bleeds all over her floor. Adriano Capone is violence in human form—shot, hunted, and very much the kind of man her sweet little heart should run from. He’s everything she hates: violent, dangerous, cruel in the way only a mafia prince can be. He’s everything she’s sworn to avoid but he's hurt and Maddie has a soft spot for lost things. So, she stitches him up. And he stitches himself into her life. He's the devil incarnate. She's never even slapped someone. But fate doesn't care about perfect matches... It threw fire into the hands of a flower girl.

I absolutely love her books, and as I’ve mentioned before, no one does mafia romance better than her on this platform. I'm really enjoying this book so far. That said, I’m a bit disappointed with the title—it feels underwhelming for an author of her caliber. Perhaps she chose it for broader appeal

Amara: The Mafia Gambit

Amara: The Mafia Gambit

'I will give you no time to decide, Amore' Luciano said 'It's either you do it my way, or do it my way. Both ways, it's still my way'. Staring at the man she had stolen from, Amara regrets her actions. If only she had not been too picky, if only she had worked her and not want to make fast money, she won't have gotten into this mess. Now here she is, standing half naked as the man accessed her body. Accessed how useful she would be to his club even if she doesn't know how to strip. A faint gasp escaped her throat as Luciano stood up and walked toward her. She flinched as he brushed stray hair off her face then smirked. 'I see we are doing it my way after all' he muttered 'Someone will get you what to wear, make sure you are not late!'
