Misunderstanding Novels & Stories

"Never meet me again, no matter the reason!" Kimberly's words kept echoing in Nicholas's head. Before he could respond yesterday, the woman had already drawn her own conclusions. Always like that. Actually, Nicholas and Kimberly were a compatible couple. Nicholas, as a man, took too long to make decisions, while Kimberly, as a woman, jumped to conclusions too quickly. That's what caused them to constantly misunderstand each other. If only you had listened to my explanation. If only you had given me a little time.

She said: "But." He said: "But the understanding was not the same. My understanding was: this is what it is, and both of us know what it is, and its terms are clear. Her understanding was: this is temporary. This is the particular and specific phase before the phase in which he changes his mind." He paused. "I did not know this. I want to be — I want to be honest with you about that. I did not see it because I was not looking for it, and I was not looking for it because I had decided, with the specific and particular confidence of a man who has been wrong in an organized way for years, that I had read her correctly."

I was confused, like what was this man thinking and why was he acting like this. "Okay look," he finally said looking at me with an unreadable expression "the issue with the pill was a misunderstanding, I know it now, but I'm sure of what I'm saying now." He gestured with his hands as if what he was saying was some complicated matter. "I want you to stay far away from him." "And why do I have to listen to you?" I said stubbornly. "You are so hard to communicate with." He blurted out frustrated. "No, you find it so hard to communicate properly with others. I can't understand what you are saying." I retorted.

I was his fated mate, his eternal love promised at the first locking of our eyes when we met at the jewelry store. Fate liked to play sick jokes with me and I fell for it again, “Maybe it was a misunderstanding,” Lynn said finally. I scoffed letting out a pained chuckle which turned into a full-bellied laugh which soon turned to anger. I can’t believe my wolf. ‘Misunderstanding? A fucking misunderstanding?’ I shouted at Lynn, “A misunderstanding is accidentally picking the wrong outfit to wear to an event, or the wrong color not finding your mate kissing another wom

I'm afraid I misunderstood his good intentions. "What?" he shouted, confused. "You said, I am so mean to you; do you like me?" I clarified my question. "I don't know where you are talking; you are a precious friend, and of course I like you!" Kenan said in the end. "Ah, as a friend? Fine. I'm asking because I don't want to misinterpret what you're saying!" I tell him. "Misinterpret?" Kenan looked confused. "Even though we are good friends, I am a girl. When you say you like me, there are two possibilities: you like me as a good friend, or you like me as a girl!"

She asked, “oh no, It’s just that I tend to overcompensate by over communicating because I’m terrible at conveying how I feel so I tend to be misunderstood a lot.” “Full circle there.” Brianna commented. “To say the least, and I have to communicate with a lot of people that matter so I cannot afford to be misunderstood.” “But for interpersonal relationships it gets a bit tricky. That’s why Rhode, I mean the king has been my only friend all of my life. I never have to stress about communication and being misunderstood. We understand each other.” “I understand.” She paused, “I think it’s commendable that you care much about how you’re understood.”

Too embarrassed to say it, Deirdre muttered, "What do you mean by 'exhausted from being with you last night'? Joe will surely misunderstand..." "Misunderstand what?" Deirdre couldn't voice her thoughts, but Brendan continued. "Deirdre, different people have different perspectives. "My response was perfectly normal and logical. After traveling in the car with me, it's only natural for you to want to sleep in. Why turn such a normal comment into something else? "If Joe misunderstands, it means he's not a decent man with the right mindset, and you should stay away from him." Brendan spoke so decently that Deirdre seemed to be the one with impure thoughts.

/Meelah’s POV/ “Please don’t hang up the call” he pleads and I pause because I was just considering doing that. “Hurry up with what you want to say…..I am quite occupied at the moment” I urge him because I have way too much on my plate to start worrying about someone like him at a time like this. “I have been meaning to talk to you for a while about the misunderstanding that we had….” He trails off “I guess the right words that you are looking for should be betrayal because the issue we gave is nothing close to a misunderstanding but a glittering act of betrayal” I cut in to correct the notion.

The male lead's expression darkened to something frightening. "Lily, are you an idiot? I told you to donate a kidney—a human kidney!" "Do you have any idea how important Wendy is to me? She once saved my life. I have to repay that debt of gratitude!" I thought it over for a moment, then nodded in understanding. "I'm sorry. I misunderstood earlier." My docility made him pause slightly. The fury in his eyes cooled by several degrees, and his tone softened as well.
