Wife for Her Salvation

Wife for Her Salvation

My father was critically ill. I begged my fiancé to keep his post-wedding promise—to withdraw emergency funds from the medical trust fund he had sworn to protect me forever. He refused. The next day, he announced his engagement to Pera. Overnight, I became the laughingstock of everyone. In my deepest despair, my childhood friend Seamus— The heir to a long-established Mafia family— Knelt down in the park and proposed to me in front of everyone. That night, he transferred a large sum of money to my account. I said yes without hesitation and rushed to the hospital to pay for my father's treatment. But he never woke up again. The hospital said he had suffered "unexpected complications." Everything after that—the lawyers, the funeral, all the arrangements—was handled by Seamus. Under the Mafia family's protection, everything went smoothly, and my father was able to be quietly buried. The wedding proceeded as planned. Years later, I overheard a conversation between him and the doctor who treated my father. “Seamus,” the doctor said in a low voice, “You tampered with the organ allocation priority list. You delayed Shirley’s father’s transplant so that Pera’s father could receive an organ transplant in time. You falsified the urgency level. Do you know what will happen if this is exposed?” “The list itself was legal,” Seamus replied after a pause. “I just…adjusted the urgency level.” “You committed medical fraud,” the doctor said sharply. “You ruined his only chance to live. All for Pera. Don’t you regret it?” “I don’t regret it,” Seamus answered without hesitation. “I would do anything for her. Even my life, even the honor of the Mafia family.” “Throughout our marriage, I’ve been trying to make up for everything I owed Shirley. That should be enough.” My vision blurred. Only then did I finally understand— The woman he truly loved was always Pera. "If that's really the case," I thought numbly,"Then I should leave."

In Love With My Husband's Brother

In Love With My Husband's Brother

"You're saying?" "I'm saying, I know you're avoiding me." She froze. "I see the way you look at me Tarah." Their eyes met. But she quickly looked away. "Look at me darling." He said huskily. He lifted her chin. She finally looked at him in his soul sucking eyes. "Are you attracted to me?" "No." She lied. TARAH What do you do when you feel things you never felt before? Feelings you never thought you would feel, towards someone you shouldn't feel that to. Feelings you should never feel towards your husband's brother. And what if it happens, he feels the same. What do you do? What do I do? How could I keep myself away from him, when we live under one roof. How can I not get attached to him, when he's all I am into. He showed me my darkest desires I never thought I had. He awakened my deepest feelings. He opened the door to my heart, and my damn legs as well. He was the greatest temptation that I failed to resist. I never thought of getting married through a contract. More so of falling in love with my husband's brother. EZEKIEL The marriage contract wasn't entirely legal, but still, a grooms valid name was needed. There was no second bastard son at all, and I couldn't come up with a name. So, I put my name on it. Making Tarah married to me. Yes. To me. She's married to me. Which she didn't know. And wouldn't know. I know she's just adopted, but I'll still mess around her, as planned. And what could I do? She's undeniably very pretty. So pretty. I wanted her attention on me. I want her. I want my wife. I want what's mine. I'll do everything to get her.

She Tried to Bury Me, I Blew Her Life Up

She Tried to Bury Me, I Blew Her Life Up

As a dive engineer, I need to go down into the shaft to retrieve a drill bit in order to speed up construction on the 800-million-dollar construction project before Independence Day. Little do I know that I've barely made my way down the shaft when I realize I don't have enough oxygen to last the journey. Amid my panic, I completely lose my sense of direction. So, I dig out my wireless radio in an attempt to communicate with my fiancee, Viola Jenkins. But all I hear is her laughter over the radio. "Aren't you all high and mighty, Elden? I'd like to see how long you can last underwater without oxygen!" Her first love, Ron Carey, adds, "Just sit back and watch the show, Viola! He'll definitely beg you to open the manhole cover for him when the time comes!" That's when I realize Viola and Ron have allied together to kill me. Not only have they closed the manhole cover, but they've also cut off my life-saving oxygen supply. After ensuring that the manhole cover cannot be moved at all, I begin crying for help weakly into the radio. "Hurry… Open the cover for me… I'm running out of oxygen…" Viola's contemptuous voice drifts from the radio. "It's only been five minutes. Why are you playing the pity card already? This is Ron's first time in a construction site, so he's inhaling some oxygen from the canister because he's already lacking in oxygen. You can wait for a while. "If you have the time to moan about the lack of oxygen, you might as well use it to retrieve the drill bit. Stop dilly-dallying around, Elden! You seriously think I'll keep you around if you don't pull your weight around here?" With gnashed teeth, I cover 65 feet downward in the shaft. With the last bit of oxygen in my lungs, I place my hands on the drill bit that's stuck in the deepest part of the shaft that can determine whether or not the 800-million-dollar construction project will be a hit or miss. I'd like to see if Viola and Ron will be able to reap the benefits from this project just by killing me off in the shaft!
