ALPHA DOM AND HIS HUMAN SURROGATE

ALPHA DOM AND HIS HUMAN SURROGATE

I drink it because I'm growing a person and hydration is always relevant even when everything else is chaos. "You need a lawyer," Callum says. "I need several things," I say. "A lawyer is one of them." "I know someone," Dominic says. "Outside the pack community. A human attorney. Criminal defense, thirty years experience, complete discretion." "How quickly can you reach them?" "She's already on retainer for situations like this." I look at him. "You have a criminal defense attorney on retainer for situations like this." "I run a company worth several billion dollars and I campaign for a leadership position in a community that has active political enemies," he says. "Yes."

The Final Defense

The Final Defense

My wife's student, Talon Palmer, hired someone to stab me, leaving me critically injured. In six years as an attorney, my wife Audrey Taylor had never lost a case. Yet she stayed up all night compiling nearly a hundred pages of trial materials, all to prove Talon innocent. I stood in the doorway for six straight hours, torturing myself as I watched her work. Finally, I asked hoarsely, "Why?" She didn't even look up. "You accused Talon of being the other man. All he did was ask that thug to pretend to be his brother and scare you. Everything that happened afterward was the thug's own doing. It had nothing to do with Talon." I shook my head in disbelief. Hysterical, I rushed forward and tr

Almost as though she collected them throughout her long and storied career. The woman gestured at the chair in front of her, which Eva accepted and sat on. “Eva Benjamin, yes?” asked the woman. Eva nodded hesitantly. “I’m Avarti Kellorine,” said the woman. “I’m your assigned defense counsel, and I’m here to help you deal with your legal problems. As best I can, anyway. To be perfectly honest, simply let me do all of the talking during your hearing, alright? All you have to do is stay quiet and look incredibly sorry for your actions. Even if you aren’t. I’ll do my best to minimize the time you serve.”

By the title itself, it was already something that would hook anyone immediately. And after reading a few chapters, indeed it was great. I really love reborn books/novels and I am not disappointed one bit at all! Love the Mc by the way.

It's great to read a book that the first scene is in outer space. Eva is calm, strong and you describe the background well enough to make me imagine it figuratively. Nothing to complain here. It's just perfect :)

Defending My Daughter

Defending My Daughter

Tina, who had remained silent all along, suddenly spoke. Her little face flushed red, she bravely met the elderly lady's shocked gaze and declared loudly, "I did make my teacher mad, but my answer wasn't wrong! Mom lost her job to protect me! She's the best mother in the world! I won't allow you to bully her!" The girl's clear, innocent voice rebutted Rachel sharply and hit me hard. Tears flowed down my cheeks uncontrollably. Rick's eyes turned red. He kissed Tina's forehead. Hugging Tina and holding me, he turned around resolutely, not sparing his mother another glance.

Matt said. After Matt got ice for Chey’s hand, his phone rang. It was his agent. Of course he was mad. His daughter only told him part of what happened. “Do you want to tell me the name of the woman who attacked my daughter?” Mr. Williams asked. “You mean the woman who defended herself from your daughter’s assault? The same woman who works for Anders and Palmer law firm?” Matt responded. “I see. Maybe Stacy was a little too upset to give me the full story.” Mr. Williams said.

I KISSED MY HATER IN THE STORY

I KISSED MY HATER IN THE STORY

There are a metal table, three chairs, and a security camera in the corner. The public defender assigned to me was already waiting, a middle-aged man with tired eyes and a thin file. It was clear he didn't care about my case. "Miss Turi," he said without enthusiasm. "I'm Attorney Williams. I'll be representing you." "I don't need your representation," I cut in flatly. "I'm going to defend myself." He raised an eyebrow. "That's not advisable." "I have evidence that will prove my innocence," I interrupted again. "And I need a Jeweler's Loupe right now."

Breaking Up With The Hottest Man On Ice

Breaking Up With The Hottest Man On Ice

"Good. Because Margaret is not going to make this easy. She has already filed motions. Hired lawyers. She is going to attack both of us. Our fitness. Our judgment. Everything." "What do we do?" "We get you a lawyer. A good one. I will pay for it." I held up my hand when she started to protest. "This is not charity. This is not me trying to control you. This is me fixing a problem I helped create. Margaret never would have gone after you if I had not filed for custody in the first place." "Jake—" "Please. Let me help. Let me do something right for once." I pulled out my phone. "I know a lawyer. Someone who specializes in defending against these kinds of attacks. I will call her now. Set up a

I looked over at Becca, whose jaw had dropped so far it was practically in her lap. Chris Turner jumped to his feet. “Objection, Your Honor. This is posturing. Romantic declarations have no place in the courtroom.” Myles didn’t even flinch. “It’s not posturing. It’s context. My professional stake in this case doesn’t begin and end with a client file. I’m here to defend someone I believe in.. personally and legally.” The judge rubbed his temples. “Fine. You’ve made your position loud and clear, Mr. Voss. But if you’re taking over, be ready when we return from recess. The court resumes in ten minutes. No more surprises.”

Lawyer or Miss perfect?

Lawyer or Miss perfect?

“I actually don’t know, I only talked to the assistant who said that, her boss needs an appointment with you on custody battle of two kids. “He pauses and looks at his watch “and the client will come in any second from now “and on cue a knock sounds at the door. A familiar guy walks in my office with his usual sombre mood looking all business like. He looks cuter than the tabloids make him look like. I try and keep my fan girl in me since he is a client. “I’m Amanda P Bryan and you are?” “Miles Cooper" “So what brings you to my office today?” “I just wanted to come and meet the famous female lawyer, Miss P who has won more than twenty cases in a row “he sarcastically says. I look at him ques

Rude Awakenings

Rude Awakenings

Instinctively, her hands reached down for her stomach and Kate saw his eye twitch, his cool composure dropping for a fraction of a second, before the smarmy grin returned, his head tilting to the side to listen to his lawyer. Thankful for the distraction of the prosecutor, Kate answered their basic questions; her name, her relationship to the defendant, their history, before he delved into the details of the two attacks Preston had made on her life. Her gaze constantly darted back to Sandy, who smiled and nodded reassuringly as Kate recounted her experiences; the friendly prosecutor offering her the same kind smiles and encouraging nods. The nerves that swarmed her stomach had barely subside

This was so good. The main characters were properly fleshed out and I ended up loving Paloma. Colton essentially being a redeemable bum in need of therapy and stability was super realistic. Everyone having regular jobs was a breath of fresh air. The sex has you wishing you could be Kate. Solid read

Definitely one of my favorites, love the journey to love for Colton and Kate. They feel so real and it’s a roller coaster of emotions, with a psycho stalker for more thrills. Not sure why it’s broken into 2 books but reading back to back still flows. Thank you, author!!
