I rolled down from the altar and leaped toward the tray with silver knives lying on the floor next to a dead witch. The demon snarled and lurched at me, but I was faster. I grabbed the silver knife and pierced one of his eyeballs. "You bitch!" he screamed as the eye turned into dark smoke. Then he jumped back and withdrew the knife, tossing it away.

He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.

On his hip was a small canvas case that he opened and took out a small flick knife. “We don’t have much time, little demon.” His voice was hard but calm, not raised. “I need to cut the seams.” She gave his unjacketed body a once over and could see although his frame wasn’t bulky it was definitely ripped as his shirt was tailored to fit him like a glove.

"Thought I would leave you alone?" I knew he'd always have my back. "It's stronger Syberus, and it's the one that killed our parents." He fired more arrows into the demon, firing with hate. "Then let's kill it once and for all, let's kill for all Sybil, and the others, and for our parents," He said, sounding deeply hurt. He removed a small sword from his holster and handed it to me. I took it, gripping it tightly in my palm and he withdrew his longer sword. The demon was now on its knees, all the strength it had probably drained by the silver in its body.

She screeched, trying to throw me off. A hand grabbed my shirt and threw me across the clearing in the forest we had got to. My head smacked against the ground and I shook the pain off. "I told you not to fucking help!" She screamed like a tyrant. I looked up to see her stab him with an odd looking stake. Covered in glowing jewels and black metal. A shenaze, I realized. One of the only things beside sunlight to kill a demon. The demon screamed briefly before turning to ash. I rolled into taller grass and waited for her to come after me.

In an instant, as I snap it back into my hand, I hold it firmly at the center of its heart and in one… two… three… I spin it through the air, watching how it travels at an incredible speed and knocking the Demon straight into the chest. I can hear the agony of the Demon as the sharp tip pierces through his skin and cracks through the bone, bringing him to his instant death. With one leap forward and eyes remaining to my left at the group that is still making their way towards us, I grab the blade just as the Demon turns into a pile of nothing but dust.
