It was a psychic scream that echoed through the bond, but it wasn't Lyra’s. "DADA! MAMA! HELP!" Kaelen’s scream tore through their minds. Silas and Lyra both spun around to look toward the South Wing. A massive, shadowy figure—larger than any mountain—had emerged from the clouds. It wasn't the Creator. It was the Moon Goddess herself, her eyes two dead stars, her bone-white hand reaching down to crush the keep. The "Unmasking" was over. The "Reclamation" had just become a war for the heavens.

Why did their eyes, their voices, their blades all come back to me as if I were the center of a story I didn’t understand? The monster shrieked, silver eyes blazing as Dimitri deflected another strike. The sound rattled the air, clawing into my chest until I thought my ribs might splinter. A thread of power coiled tight in my blood, waking. No. No, it couldn’t be real. I staggered back, clutching at my throat, as if I could hold it inside, as if denying it would stop it from breaking free. Jason caught me, his hand steady at my

And the one because of whom the entire Jabril Palace was awake was counting sheeps in her sleep. "One sheep, two sheeps, three sheeps to hell, life is nothing but a big fat scum! Four sheeps, five sheeps, six sheeps to heaven, the Moon Goddess is nothing but a heartless Queen. Seven sheeps, eight sheeps, nine sheeps for freedom, I haven't got a penny to redeem myself..." Floating in a white void, Shamsiya chuckled mirthles

He leaned very close, his warm breath brushing against my ear, sending a slight tickle through me. I turned my head, meeting his deep gaze. At that moment, time seemed to stand still, freezing everything into eternity. “Happy Winter Solstice Festival, Xaibe.” He leaned in close to my ear, murmuring softly, “On the next full moon night, let us go to the Moon Goddess to mark our bond.” Outside the window, the aurora continued its dance across the night sky, its brilliant colors reflecting upon my face and onto Xaibe's face. "This day," Morrigan said, her eyes never leaving Deimon's, "the Alpha Supreme emerges into the world."

Young couples exchange tokens of love beneath the glowing moon. Yet, I can’t relax. My gaze keeps darting to Damon, to Cain, to Garrett, who I’m sure is here somewhere waiting patiently for the right moment.
