The demon king could only swallow the clog of fear which was slowly accumulating in his throat. With a gaping mouth, Damon’s gaze switched back and forth from his newly arrive mother to the man who looked like his father. He immediately shook his head when his frenzied mind had added a stray thought once more. Not liking the forming thought inside his mind, he could not help but think that his father – the supposed almighty demon king of the Nether World – trapped his mother for centuries not because he wanted monopoly for his only heir but because he was actually afraid of her!

He challenged. "You're posing a challenge?" She smirked slowly. "You're smart, at times..." He brought his hand to her hair, stroking. "Twenty orders?" She shrugged. "Wait for my return, Father." She pushed his hand away. He dropped the cigar between his mouth on the floor, then turned. "The dead body!" Seraphina snapped. "The Hawks of Odium will come for it. They always come." Tobias replied without looking back. The curtains dangled as he walked through them.

All he did was to stand very still and look up the sky, he was like that till I disappeared into the coven and this made me really sad. What if I was never going to come back alive? What if the witches kill me and decide to have my body? What if by chance I turned into a wizard or got into any other difficult situation? My father did not for once think of all these because if he did, he would tried to fill the night with sweet and happy memories. Being a demon king doesn't mean that you have to be mean to your family, neither does it mean that you can't be happy around them, so why did he always act this way?

"You said 'was', is she…" "Dead, yeah." He nodded his head. "They had Vamurus two years after I was born. My family is kinda complicated."

My father indicated Matteo, my eyes closed in frustration. "Pardon." I heard Matteo say from Samuels' side as he offered him a bottle of something. "You heard me, mongrel. My father laughed, his form shimmering from his demonic form to a solid one of flesh, bones and skin. Somewhat resembling a human but not quiet, you could tell he preferred the underworld to this realm and hardly visited it given the mistakes he made with his new appearance.

He was furious, and that day, he showed her why he is the devil."

"I understand your fear that they will judge you but don't worry. I'm here." Although I just met Talima, she understands me more because she can see my future.
