“Promise me, you will hide her and keep the truth from her. I never want her to know what she is or where she came from.” Esmes mother begged on her death bed as she handed her infant child over to her friends. “Raise her as your own, please!” She had spent years running, hoping to find a way out of the deal she had made with a demon that would cost her not only her life but her only child’s freedom once she turned 18. With her mother gone and her wolf stirring Esme finds herself rebelling against the ties of family and friendship as she nears her 18th birthday. Sneaking out to a party Esme finds herself auctioned in an underground world where mafia reign and rules don’t apply. At least not for the formidable alpha and mafia boss Matteo Accardo, who thrives in the dangerous world of corruption and sin! "One Million!" Someone shouted from my left, my eyes narrowed on the male in the crowd, pointing at me and laughing with his associates. Anger rippled through me, seeing him grab his cock and nod to me subjectively. Pretending to gag, I examined him with contempt.
"Let's not pretend you know what to do with it, buddy!" I screamed over the chatter in the chamber. The room erupted in laughter as someone else threw another bid into the room.
"Two Million!" An aged voice offered. I looked behind me to the male I had been told to call Sir, overseeing the girls being auctioned today and snorted.
"Come on, he'll be dead by morning!" I dismissed his bet with a flick of my wrist.
"Come on, fellas, we can do better than that; she's a pretty wee thing. A natural blonde. I have checked myself!" Sir announced, shooting him a death stare. I spat at his feet, embarrassment washing over my cheeks.
"She's a little feisty, but I guess that's what you get when you have grown up with savages all your life, huh, doll face." He laughed, stepping closer to me with a pull on the chains, trying to haul me into his body. I stepped closer to him and snarled, baring my teeth at the filthy sleazeball.
"You are making a mistake!" I laughed bitterly, looking at his dick that had hardened in his slacks. "I hope you aren't attached to your LITTLE friend because I curse you!" A rough hand slapped my face sending me backwards and onto my ass, the chains digging into my wrists and ankles painfully.
"Fucking Gypsies!" He barked, pulling his leg back to kick me in the ribs, dispatching pain through my core. Forcing my lips closed, I refused to scream in a room filled with arrogant bastards who would only get hard off my whimpers and sobs! Sick fucks!
"Three Mill!" My original bidder yelled as I pulled myself to my feet.
"Four!"
"FUCK you all! I am worth ten times that! All that gets you is a look at my tits!" I bellowed, pulling against the chains that kept my hands to my side, to yank my top down and flash the bastards a look at my rack. These men were mob bosses; I could smell sin and money on them. They didn't want a vulgar female who answered them back and embarrassed them by flaunting herself; they wanted something meek and submissive.
Well fuck that!
"Five Million!" Another voice stuttered. "But she has to come with a gag! I only need her cunt!" My eyes shot to the bidder, anger flaring in my hues as I assessed him critically.
"Aww, what's wrong? Not able to find anyone to fuck and breed with you! Hardly a surprise, fatty!" I laughed sweetly, shaking my head in amusement, as yet again, the room filled with the sound of chatter and laughter.
"Such a shame, but let's face it: the only way your line will continue is if you pay for it!" I laughed nastily, my lip curling in disdain. The blues of my eyes shone with the same repulsion I wore on my face as they locked on the male in the front row.
"Not like she's wrong, Johnny!" Someone hurled across the room, making the male's face redden with the anger that swam in his eyes.
"Rest assured, the only thing I will give you is a lifetime of misery!" I giggled, flicking my hair over my shoulder, the blonde waves cascading down my back like spun silver.
"But something tells me you like that, don't ya, sugar!" I mocked as a foot landed on the back of my knees, knocking me to the floor. Sucking in a puff of air, I breathed through the pain that Sir had administered. I swear to all that is holy, I am going to rip this fuckers dick off with my teeth!
"Careful, don't bruise her pretty skin!" Someone announced. Rolling my eyes, I pulled myself into a sitting position at Sir's feet, my eyes trained on his; arching a brow, I smirked knowingly.
"Wouldn't want to damage the merchandise!" I grinned sarcastically, shrugging my shoulders.
"Come on, gents! She's good with her mouth! I can assure you of that!" He declared with a sleazy wink at me. Thinning my lips, I flashed him my sweetest smile, which I refused to let falter as memories danced through my head. The last time I was on my knees in front of this prick, he shoved his dick at me in a room filled with girls all as scared as me. Apparently, he wanted to instruct us on how to 'behave' for our new masters. Personally, I think he just wanted a quick BJ! Something I had refused and the girl beside me had paid dearly for.
“Do it! I will protect you!” A voice whispered in my mind. I contemplated answering ‘her’ for a moment, nobody wants to buy a crazy chick after all, but something told me it wasn't my mind they were here for but my other assets!
My eyes trained on Sir as he held his hand up for the room to continue the auction; leaning into him, my teeth clamped down on his flabby thigh through his thin slacks, hooking my teeth around his flesh with all my might, I pierced his skin and pulled like one would remove fat from a good steak.
I don't know what possessed me to lunge at him, but I do know that it felt damn good to hear him scream like a girl. Spitting the fabric and flesh onto the floor beside the male with the current winning bid, I shot him a wink before looking back over at Sir.
"Sorry, Sir! I thought you wanted me to demonstrate how good I am with my mouth." I grinned, looking out at the now silent room, blood trickling down my chin and onto the white see-through shift they had forced me to wear. Looking at it with a shrug, I smirked out at the room filled with wide eyes and silent lips.
"Come on, not like you fuckers ain't seen your share of blood!" I laughed maniacally.
"50 Million!" Someone said in the silent room. Gasps and shocked faces turned to the top of the room where a balcony held my bidder, the lights blaring at me, hiding his face and identity, but something in his voice felt familiar.
"SOLD! To Mr..." Sir winced, gripping his thigh all dramatic and shit.
"Accardo.. Matteo Accardo." The husky voice informed us. The room became still with tension, and given the looks being exchanged by the males around me, I guessed whoever this guy was.. he was a bigger bastard than any of these.
"I hope you have your affairs in order, Matteo because I will... kill you for this!" I proclaimed with resolve.
"We shall see." A voice answered and I didn’t need to see him to know he was grinning like the sick bastard he was!
~ Emmy ~I awoke with a start, my heart pounding in my chest, my body drenched in sweat. The darkness around me felt oppressive, the dream lingering like a heavy fog in my mind. I could still see my mother’s haunted eyes, and hear her desperate pleas. But what had she whispered? What was it that I wasn’t supposed to know?Rae stirred within me, sensing my turmoil. “What’s wrong?” she asked, her voice echoing softly in my mind.“I saw her, Rae,” I whispered, my voice shaking. “I saw my mother. She was running from something, a creature... and she handed me over to the Ma who raised me. She said I must never know what I am, that I am in danger. But she whispered something I couldn’t hear.” Rae was silent for a moment, processing my words. “Dreams can be powerful, Emmy. They can show us things from our past, our deepest fears, or even glimpses of the future. Whatever it is your mother whispered, it’s important. When we are out of this cave we will work it out, I promise.” I took a deep
~ Emmy ~My feet moved quickly, hoping to find shelter from the prying eyes I felt boring into my back. Eventually, I came to a grand staircase that spiralled down into what looked like a vast hall below. Taking a deep breath, I started down the stairs, avidly aware of the fact I was naked, filthy and smelt like arse. My mind raced with thoughts of what might await me. I had to stay focused and strong. "Emmy, you’ve got this," I told myself. This place, no matter how enchanting, would not break me.As I reached the bottom of the staircase, I found myself in a grand hall that was even more extravagant than the room I had started in. Massive chandeliers hung from the ceiling, their crystals sparkling in the candlelight. Marble floors gleamed beneath my feet, and towering columns lined the room, their surfaces carved with intricate patterns that seemed to tell a story of their own."Someone hasn't heard of the saying less is more." I marvelled aloud as I looked around the rather over-th
~ Emmy ~ Rae had exhausted herself running through the demonic realm and had finally given me control while she slept. We were hidden away in a dark cave, the air thick and heavy with the scent of sulphur and despair. She had commanded me to stay put, to rest, but sitting still had never been my strong suit. "It's just a while longer." I sighed as I looked around the cave. It was pitch black, and the silence was suffocating, I could hear the distant echoes of tortured souls, the cries of the damned: not exactly helping me relax. My heart ached with the weight of hopelessness, and I started to feel despair creeping into my soul."Ahhh, this is killing me." I moaned loudly. Unable to sit still any longer, I began to pace the cave. Every step felt like a rebellion against the darkness that threatened to swallow me whole. My eyes slowly adjusted to the inky blackness, but there was little to see beyond the jagged walls and the occasional scatter of bones. My mind raced with thoughts of
~ Matteo ~ "So, what's your plan?" I requested Evelyn, as I rejoined the group. Wyatt by my side a silent pact had been made between us, and it would stay silent until we had Emmy and Lula back. As if understanding the situation Levi and Hank nodded to Everlyn and the book she had pulled out of her bag."We need to infiltrate the wedding," Evelyn declared, her tone resolute. "We can use the gathering to our advantage. With so many supernatural beings in one place, it'll be chaotic. It'll give us a chance to find Emmy and Lula, and possibly stop Wyatt's father before he completes whatever ritual he's planning." I nodded slowly, the wheels in my mind turning. It was risky, but Evelyn was right. This could be our best chance to strike. "Alright," I said. "What do you need from us?""We need to sneak into the wedding," Evelyn began to outline her plan with a determined expression, her green eyes flickering with urgency. "With Wyatt's father demanding everyone come to hell to show loyalt
~Matteo ~I stood in the clubhouse, irritation boiling just beneath the surface. The door had been left unlocked—a careless mistake that could cost lives, especially since we had just been attacked. I was about to rip Levi a new one, despite Hank trying to defend his brother's idiocy, when I noticed Levi talking with a woman. I paused, listening to their conversation. "She is his mate, the witch?" I mouthed to Hank who nodded, a slight glimmer of jealousy shining in his eyes. Which I guessed was down to the fact that she was striking. Her rich, deep auburn hair fell in loose waves down to her shoulders, catching the dim light and adding a warmth to the otherwise grim room. Her piercing green eyes, sharp and intelligent, missed nothing as they darted around, assessing every detail. Except apparently the group of wolves behind her! Regardless they held a depth that spoke of experience and resilience, something that drew my attention. Her skin was fair, almost glowing, hinting at time s
~ Wyatt ~Levi and I travelled back to the club using my powers of teleportation. As we landed, I couldn’t help but smirk when he doubled over, retching onto the floor. It was a sight I had grown accustomed to, one that never failed to amuse me.“Magic doesn’t suit everyone,” I teased, clapping him on the back as he wiped his mouth. “You’d think dating a witch would toughen you up a bit, but here you are, still can’t stomach a simple teleportation spell.”Levi shot me a glare, but his usual retort was missing. He was too tense, too on edge to indulge in the back-and-forth banter battle that seemed to be 'our thing'. I understood why. The club was eerily quiet, a stark contrast to its usual hustle and bustle. Everyone had dispersed, off to complete their tasks, leaving the place feeling empty and hollow.I took a seat at the bar, leaning back as I watched Levi pace back and forth. "What's up squirrel?" I asked as he rounded to look at me."Squirrel?" He repeated his nose screwed up wi
