HIS TO RUIN
I took a slow step back, letting the tension linger, “you’re mine. Every thought, every reaction, every breath will be measured against this contract. You have no idea how dangerous that can be.”
Her gaze met mine, unwavering despite the flush that colored her cheeks. “I’m not afraid of you,” she said softly.
“Not afraid?” I chuckled, circling her again, letting my steps echo the rhythm of a predator closing in. “You’ll learn to be careful, at least. Fear isn’t the point. Desire is.”
“I…” She faltered slightly, chest rising faster, pulse visible. “Desire? You’re insane.”
“And you,” I countered, voice dropping, dark, deliberate, “are already hooked. You just don’t know it yet.”
