Devil Next Door Novels & Stories

I know I live in my own dream world, but even I know that this isn’t one of my stories, Devil won’t take me away with her, Devil won’t be my mommy, Devil would lose interest in the end. “I’m ready,” I tell her with both my bags in hand, she smiles and leads me outside toward her car, the red Camaro, the car stood out in my neighbour it didn’t belong there none of the cars were fancy enough to be even compared to hers, and even the flashy ones aren’t that flashy, but still there stood the red sports car. Devil opened the trunk for my things, I could see other bags there, some plastic, some not, I could see a change of clothes, the trunk was pretty much filled, maybe it was all her torture dev

I muttered, exhaling the breath I had been holding in. “It's nothing. The DEVIL isn't that cruel……”. She hung her low immediately, when a loud ABC ease striking sound reverberated through the walls of the room. “I can see you're awake, Valerie. Mm wey me downstairs,at the guest lounge. I have a few things to discuss with you before taking you back to the night blaze pack”. The DEVIL had been watching me even in my sleep, because….. “That's how he's. He has cameras mounted all over the house….”

Lucian’s note had come with a final line: “The devil doesn’t wear horns. He wears charm. Find his weakness.” Ayla exhaled slowly. She was no longer Ayla Monroe. Not here. Tonight, she was a ghost. Inside, the gala pulsed with orchestrated elegance. Women in gowns worth more than Ayla’s rent glided past men with blood-stained hands wrapped in Armani. Waiters floated by with champagne. It would’ve been beautiful if she didn’t know who half these people were — or what they’d done to get here. Lucian’s voice echoed in her mind: “Serrano traffics secrets. You’ll be one of them by midnight if you fail.”

More excuses to walk alone. It was three nights into her trials when the satellite phone buzzed under her mattress. She slipped it out like a thief and curled in bed, blankets muffling any light or sound. The message was short: 'Lucian is returning soon. I delayed him for now. Tell me what you need and it will be delivered.' Her breath caught. Her fingers flew. 'He can't see me here. I won't survive it. I need distraction, an exit window, and silence on your end. Knock out drugs too.'

She walked out of my room with Shan out of the crib. x x x x x x x x x x x x x I woke inside the darkroom, which surprised me. Is it late? Why am I still sleeping on this bed? When my phone vibrated, I picked it up. I remembered what had happened when I saw who had called and recalled what I saw this morning. "F*ck you, John Anderson!" I screamed and smashed my cellphone against the wall. "Darling, what's going on?" Dad rushed inside after hearing my phone broke

I whisper in fear. Tsking, and biting his lip, he shakes his head. “Oh, no. Don’t think of it like that,” he says sweetly, his nefarious smile shifting to sweet and beautiful. “I’m just a fragment of dust of what you may term as the devil. So small and useless until I’m given instructions by my boss. In this case, Mr. Memphis, otherwise known as Devlin, and the water of power he pours to me in form of instructions, stirs my little particles into a pile of mud and I get my power from him. But for now, I’m nothing more than a human just like you and everyone else in your little world.”

The second text pops up right under the first one: **~ Sexy Devil: I can still taste you on my tongue, Rebel. That sweet little whimper you made when I finally took back control… Fuck, I’m hard just thinking about it. You’ve had your fun wrecking the devil. Now it’s my turn. When next I see you, make sure to wear something easy to rip off. ~**

I decide to leave the kitchen behind and call a pizza place nearby. I put a series on N*****x to watch, while I wait for the pizza place to arrive. Forty minutes go by and I hear my stomach growling. I can't wait any longer, and, already impatient, I think about going downstairs to see if the delivery man has arrived yet, but I give up, because this idea is a bit clueless. I imagine that because of the time that has passed, he is close to arriving - at least I hope so. I go to my room, put on a jacket, long enough to cover my pajamas and not show that I am without a bra. Already ready, I wait for the doorman to call on the intercom.

“I’m going to bury myself inside of you until you collapse from exhaustion!” Inner Devil: ‘Ahhh! I want! I want!’ Inner Devil 2: ‘What? I guess it’s time to schedule my funeral. I’m dying a happy woman! Someone tell my parents, I lived a fruitful life!’
